I have been getting into stretching and holistic practices to help me wind down in the evenings. Ditching melatonin and focusing on getting my mind quiet and clear, but my body would always feel awake. So I started to do some stretches, in hopes of brining my body to a tranquil state. Stretching, yoga, etc are all part of my nightly routine. HOWEVER, I was not anticipating the torture that would follow around my hamstrings. Now, I am not a super tall guy, about 6'1, but I did not know how tight my hamstrings truly were! It was awful, I had no pleasure in stretching, I wanted to find a device that would slowly get myself to that peaceful space. This device has brought me to a much easier design in my stretching. It is not flimsy and holds together well, while also fitting my frame! It is the perfect size to fit between my night stand and bedside. I think everyone should at least see if this helps them, as it does for me!

Helps me get a really good stretch, but it puts a lot of pressure on my ankles which can be painful

Je l’ai acheté pour améliorer la souplesse des muscles adducteurs et après quelques utilisations j’aimes l’effort demandé.

Stretcher is fairly well built. Once you learn to use it, it works pretty good. Spread your legs first, then pull the center handle to further the stretch. Don’t have your legs straight in front of you and expect the device to start the stretch. It’s moderately well built and should last many years. One of the couplers was installed backwards. The pins wouldn’t reach the holes. All I did was take the coupler off and switch it around. Works great! I would buy again, especially with all the accessories.

I had a heavier duty leg stretcher before, but wanted something more portable and easier to store. This gets the job done, but wish there were better instructions when first using it and also a few other features like locking in place instead of the band. Gets the job done, but can definitely be improved.

If you're looking for a stretching device, then you're probably already stretching and trying to reach some lengthy goals. This device is easy enough to assemble (it's intuitive and takes about 5 minutes) and sturdy enough for a $40 piece of equipment. The problem is the center handle you pull on to engage the stretching runs into you pretty quick if you're moderately flexible and you're on the taller side (>5'10). It still feels like a good stretch but it probably will not be able to train you to a full/near full splits.

I'm a 42 yo dad who began kung fu with his 8yo son and I wasn't flexible enough for basic kicks and low stance positions. That being said, having a hockey background, flexibility never was a priority... I'm a 240 lbs, 5'9" guy, so I was worried it wouldn't fit compared to the small gymnasts we see in the pictures here. The thing is well built though, with square tubing, so it can take some stress and torsion. To hold the middle grip, I use a ratchet strap around my hips instead of the basic band included and click when I feel I can stretch a bit more. After 2 months, 2 times a week, 10 min. each, coupled with stretching during lessons, the thing really did it for me. Kicks are now a bit higher and I can now get low enough in my horse stance to really let my muscles work as they should. Just take time to recover (2 weeks stretch, 1 week pause for me), body needs time to repair muscular microtears, especially at my age :) . Definitely recommend it!

I have no issues with the product's quality, but it's not effective because if you try to stretch your legs beyond a certain angle, the "T-shaped" end of the device will lift up from the ground.
