Your cart is empty. The 286D Dual Blink-IR Designer Emitter contains small infrared LED’s housed in a miniature, designer styled, black appearing, injection molded plastic shell. Unlike other emitters, the 286D emits visible red light in addition to IR (infrared) control signals when activated by IR commands sent to it by IR receivers or other Xantech controllers. The emitters of the 286D are wired in series and are designed to be installed directly on the IR sensor windows of the controlled components.

Works perfectly with my xantech 789-44 box. My only complain is that the description does not make it clear that each of these can be used to control two devices! A connection diagram in the product description would have helped. I am attaching photo that came with my emitter

These little guys work really well. Mine are on 24/7 and have been for about a year. My previous ones (priced way more expensive) lasted about six months.

Emitters are easy to install and work well- The system is straight forward and is robust in design - emitter cable ends are light weight and thin so care should be taken in handling

I needed a solution for my MX-980 Universal remote and MRF-350 base station. The base station only has ports for 6 components, and of course I needed one more. The Xantech 286D worked perfectly for this situation!

The Xantech IR remote in our motorhome started to act up....would not always work. Replacing the emitters took care of the problem. And I really like the red LED which lights when it transmits a signal.

This is simply a way to expand the number of emitters by doubling emitters per plug. So, while the DL85K comes with four plug-in single emitters (therefore four emitters), you could effectively go to eight emitters by buying four of these dual designs. As with the single emitters, these work perfectly.
