Its got gas but for the same price you could get a real DMX enabled Stage light. DMX being what the pros use. And for 40$ you can get something thats going to have more than a laser light show of patterns. And the light can be professionally arranged to your show or act, etc. through your computer.... For free! Because the patterns and the effects are almost exactly the same as the 20$ models.What this offers is a longer cable (which is great, sincerely). And the USB power option could go either way honestly. Somethings you want that Ooomph that a DC connection can bring. There are no variables (usually) with DC. If you got it plugged into your computer what if it crashes and restarts?I think the aluminum housing is a definite step in the right directions. The build quality is decent.I think its a 2-25$ stage light calling itself alot more. All of the effects are readily available on the cheaper versions. This is just a tougher version with an alternative power source.

The Wuzstar 7 Lens Disco Ball Lights (disco fever, remote meltdown) certainly know how to light up a room, a party, or even just a Tuesday night in your living room. These USB-powered RGBW DJ strobe lights add a vibrant splash of color and energy to any event, and the sound-activated feature ensures your music gets the visual companion it deserves.However, while the lights themselves perform admirably, the construction feels a bit on the flimsy side. The remote control, in particular, has that “might break if you look at it funny” vibe. It’s functional but feels like it was designed by someone whose expertise is in tinfoil origami. Wow, wow WOW!!! This thing is awesome! Where do I begin? Okay first and foremost the amount of effects and lasers and light etc are enough for a whole dance floor at a club. It feels unreal by how much "show" comes out of such a small box. I've been to live shows at bars and dance clubs and this one device could easily do that job and probably even better. So I feel the most important thing you should know about this thing is that it absolutely will blow you away with the variety and vibrancy it can put out. So, the second thing I would point out in this review is how simple it is. You literally just plug it in and push the power button on the remote. That's it. You have an amazing, fantastic show of dazzling effects just by plugging it in and hitting the on button. From there of course you can use the very detailed yet cave man simple remote to tweak the settings to whatever you want. Since there are so many different functions doing so many different things and you can control all of them, if you cared to, you could really personalize the output to fit any mood or situation. From slow dance to rave, no kidding. Me personally, I don't plan to tweak it much or maybe even at all, it is so impressive I just don't feel the need to. The next thing I would point out is the size and power. It could be taken out to the woods if run off a battery bank and usually to get this level of effects you would need a whole truck, movers boxes wires cables, a major power supply. Even in 2010 that was pretty much the case. This thing can run off a USB power bank, has one small power cord thinner than an iphone charger and can fit in the palm of one hand. It's really just mind boggling how far along technology has come and this unit seems to have taken advantage of all of that and made this as user friendly and impressive as possible. I really cannot believe the price is so low, they didn't skimp on build quality so this thing is a genuinely great deal.

I was a little skeptical reading some of the other reviews for this item, so I decided to give it a try myself, and I am not unhappy that I did! Not only do we have some rocking karaoke parties at the house, but I am also in a band that plays around town, this light is amazing for BOTH. Any rock band that plays small bars and clubs should have some kind of lighting, and this works perfectly, especially with the sound activated mode.The build quality is quite nice, very sturdy with all-metal body and clamp construction. The remote control is intimidating, but actually quite easy to navigate. All of the sound activated modes are labeled "DJ" so that's easy right there, and all the rest of the buttons are logical and labeled nicely. You can get laser-like designs or fuzzy LED patterns - or a mix of both - in the usual RGB colors. I have smaller, less powerful "party lights" that have to be plugged in to AC power, so the ability to literally take this anywhere and power with a portable power bank OR included "wall wart" for AC power, is a real game-changer.I'm honestly a little surprised that this powerful and varied little unit retails for just over 40 bucks (at the time of this review - AND there is a current coupon); I think it's definitely worth it, whether you want it for home, a bar or club, for your band, karaoke, or whatever. Great light at a great price.
