The cutter is at 89.2 degrees, not 90. When cutting paper 11" in length, the cut is off by 1-2 mm at the bottom.

I'm only using this for single sheets so I can't comment on multiples or card stock. For what I am using it for it works great and has a very satisfying slicing feel to it if that makes sense to you. It cuts smoothly and with a straight and even edge. The base is sheet metal instead of plastic which is substantial and should last. I checked the angle between the upper paper guide and the blade and it is exactly 90 degrees as it should be. The only assembly necessary is to attach the plastic handle to the blade which only took a few seconds. They didn't incorporate any type of blade lock on it when it isn't being used so I wouldn't leave it around where kids could get at it. Overall a very reasonable purchase.Marc
