They get the job done but does require some prep work before use. The sharper the better. Had to get replacement blades since the first ones did show signs of delamination but again, they get the job done and done great in most cases.

I haven't had much chance to put this to use yet, but so far I like it. It was pretty easy to set up and align the blades. I tried it out on some scrap pine and it did a nice job. I'm looking forward to incorporating it into my projects.

The Slickplane, with the separate chamfer blades required to achieve full functionality, works great Since adjusting the changed blades is a bit of a hassle, I may well buy another Slickplane.

This took some practice to get it working well. It is fast and cheap. You have to figure out grain orientation or you get tear out. You can't get the you start on, so I finish with sand paper, but it is faster than doing it just with sand paper. I also finish the end grain with sand paper - this would not work well on end grain. Still its quicker than setting up the router or doing it all by hand and inexpensive.

Execelant product. Just make sure that you get the right thing. My first order I ordered the blades alone and not the actual plane.
