You get what you pay for. I bought this for the shape and ability to use on a power strip. It worked for 4 days, then timer would not switch on power anymore. Junk!

This timer is pretty self explanatory and easy to figure out. I tried a smart plug timer recently and it was the most frustrating, inconsistent and overall not worth the money I paid for.I went back to basics and the good ol' mechanical timer wins again in this digital age. Cheaper than the digital timer, and faster to setup. Set it, and forget it

This mechanical timer is great for automating lamps and other electrical items in your home. It's easy to use and reliable. I use it to control my grow lamps. It is reliable and quiet, with a subtle click when the switch cycles from on to off. I liked it so much I bought another one. Accurate. No problems.

I read in the other reviews it doesn't hold time, and figured well it will still be useful for my Christmas lights at this price point, and it has been! Better than going out to the freezing cold garage every night to unplug the lights. It's reliable! But it really doesn't hold time. For a few days I thought it kind of was, but it needs to be adjusted back to the real time every few days, it's off by at least an hour. Seems like it's pretty random, after fixing it one time two days later it was off by four hours! The override switch and actual on/off timer work well it just doesn't hold real time. Good for a cheap fix you can stay on top of. Not good for say, lamp timers when you go away for a month. They'll be on all day and off at night when you get back lol

I've used mechanical lamp timers for many years, and love them for their simplicity, efficiency, and safety. Had to replace one that eventually wore out, and opted for the Woods Slim Body Timer. Perfect choice, as it sits above my laptop charger nicely. I absolutely love the bypass switch on this unit! I can quickly flip the lamp on when I'm working at my desk on cloudy days, and switch back to auto mode for the evening. The on/off pins are a little touchy. One bump and you upset the whole apple cart. I suppose this is a drawback to being able to set 10-15 minute increments, which require more pins, so you just have to be mindful of that limitation when setting your time periods and placing the timer in the wall socket. All told, this is a great timer and I am very happy with it.

This timer worked pretty well but I noticed that as time passed while it was in use it would start turning on the light later and later. If we would set it to turn on at 7am it would turn on at 7:03,7:06, and 7:10. Pretty accurate but not spot on.It also started to get louder and louder as time went on with a persistent ticking and buzzing noise. If you don’t care about this get it.I switched to a wifi operated timer with an app and I never hear it or worry about delays. We will probably keep it in the garage we’re we don’t have to hear it.

This is the basic type of timer that I generally get when I only have one item to plug into it. The little up/down "buttons" around the edge is all that's needed to set the timer. But I always write with a marker what is the "on" or "off" way "up" or "down". I don't keep the little instruction sheet and I know that after a while I'll forget how this goes. It's easy enough to figure out but if it's written there for you, you don't have to figure it out. Anyway, this works well; not expensive; but keep in mind that it works with only one plug. If that's what you need, this timer is for you.

I have narcolepsy and have always struggled actually waking to alarms. I would turn them off in my sleep (automatic behavior) and with the quarantine my schedule got so much worse. I would sleep for 10-12 hours, sleeping through all alarms which would cause me to miss work Zoom meetings. WELL I came up with the idea of having a lamp blind my face over the alarm clock so as I get out of bed to shut it off I’m blinded simultaneously to help awaken me. IT WORKED! I was so excited, upset to be awake (which is normal) but hyped! It’s super easy to set up! Just pull up the white pins surrounding the timer, push back down for the time you want the lights or whatever to turn on.

Easy to set up, easy to adjust the time settings. Nice to have a grounded plug option as many are only for non-grounded appliances. There is an on/off indicator light, but since this one is behind a couch we don't use that feature. Great home security device and nice to have lights go on at a certain time when we are at home too. Some other reviewers actually complained that all the pins are depressed on arrival, so they had to figure out to lift all except during the time they want the power on. Silly complaint IMO, the pins are probably depressed to protect them during shipping and it takes literally about 3 seconds to lift them all.
