Construction is a bit cheap and cheerful but not bad for the price-what matters is that it seems to work well. I don’t have a ton of time with it, but it confirmed that my wood cut last year is ready to burn this winter.

Ottimo prodotto. E' arrivato puntualmente. L'ho usato in alcune ispezioni nei depositi di carta da macero e mi sono trovato molto bene, sia per la leggerezza che per la funzionalità. Le puntine in metallo da infilare nella carta/cartone/legno sono molto robuste e tollerano anche una mano non esattamente gentile. L'alimentazione è con due batterie da 1,5 V che ho trovato piacevolmente incluse. Non richiede taratura. Ottimo il design complessivo.

Easy to use and accurate. Just install supplied batteries, remove cap from pins, press on button, and stick pins into wood. Nice that it comes with extra set of pins. Small enough to fit in pocket. Great for testing moisture content of my firewood.

Used it to test some split wood I've had for over a year, compared to a work bench in my garage that's been there over 15 years, both 11% moisture content, very hard to believe!

I had a leaking problem on my 2nd floor. So I purchased this small detector to help me figure out where is the leaking point. the outside package is nice. it is about the size of an iPhone. It comes with a bag, two AAA batteries, and a manual. The detector has a small LCD screen and four buttons ( on/off, wood, hold, and paper/wall). The design is easy and clean, even a 10 years old kid can learn how to use it within a minute. The LCD screen is very bright, you can read the screen easily under direct sunshine. The probe is relatively sharp, so you need to keep it away from an infant. When put in use, you just need to use the probe to contact the surface you want to read; sometimes it takes a couple of tries or/and different angles before you can read the number, but most time it should not be a big problem. I used it on my floor and ceiling, it gave me the correct reading and helped me find out the source of the leaking. Keep in mind it will not give you a very accurate reading, but only a range. this small thing is not designed for scientific research. For its price, I do not have anything to compalin.
