I wasn’t sure about the soil until it turned really succulent and fragrant as soon as I added water. I am very happy with this wonderful Wonder Soil.

This came pre-mixed! It made it easy to use when I replanted my mint and green onions. However, remember that this will expand. I overestimated the amount I used. However, I will be buying this again for all my seedlings!

I never leave reviews but this stuff is THE BEST potting soil I’ve ever used!! First of all, it expands so a little goes a very long way!! Then, the proof is in the pudding as they say - my plants are absolutely thriving!!! I had great luck with other well known brands for many years, no shade to them. But the difference I noticed after using this was huge! Never going back!

Initially I gave this a bad review because I didn’t add water and thought it was a ripoff. I deleted that review(and felt dumb) because this is exactly as advertised and a great product. I potted two plants with this soil and it holds moisture extremely well. Definitely recommend.

I really like this stuff. Don't be fooled by the size of the bag. It will expand to at least 3 times that volume once you add water. Seems to really feed the plants well also. I mix it 50/50 with organic gardening or potting soil and then slowly add water and keep moving it with a hand shovel or trowel. You really need to work it in well if you are mixing with gardening/potting soil but I think it's a great product. The only downside is that I needed more so I ordered 3 more bags and apparently they must have been backordered because Amazon kept changing the delivery time until it was 3 weeks away. At that point I just gave up because it would have been too late to plant. You can also order from Home Depot online. They don't seem to carry in my stores but they do have it listed online.

Absorbs a lot of water and expands.

The soil itself is good quality and absorbs water really well.I will advise that when you open the bag, know that there will be a lot of very fine dust. If you move the contents in the bag, pour the bag, scoop the bag, squeeze the sides of the bag etc, you will produce a large mount of dense dust plume. Pouring the dry soil out the bag, e.g into a bucket, is not a good idea. It will kick up a huge amount of dust. You'll want to do this outdoors or with a mask on perhaps. I found it a bit better to carefully scoop some out and place the scoop low in the bucket and pour gently. Or if tipping the bag, make sure the dirt isn't falling a distance otherwise it will kick up a lot of dust. I also put a plastic bag over the bucket and poured in through a small opening, and then let it settle for a few minutes, because it really does fly all over the place.Adding water is interesting, the soil does indeed expand quite a lot. I would NOT say it expands to 5x. Mabe more like 2-3x. You'll also have to stir or turn the soil in order to get to the parts which are still dry underneath, sprinkle more water, keep turning etc, to get all the parts of the soil moisturized. Applying the water does help to cut down the dust. But even turning the soil and exposing dry soil beneath, as part of watering, will kick up some dust. Once the soil is reasonably expanded, using it is easy. I grossly underestimated how much soil I'd need. I got 3 bags and ended up having to get 6. Larger pots will eat it up quickly. It looks like a large bag in the picture but it's not that big.
