This is the soil you want if you have orchids. Contains everything in specific amounts that will keep your plants thriving and blooming for years to come. Please don’t get that orchid at Home Depot in the pink bag. It is useless. Go for the real thing and give your precious orchids a comfy place to grow

Great potting mix. Orchids love it. repotme products are the best.

I used this potting mix to re-pot my orchids that were staying way to soggy in their mix. They were looking very sickly. It's only been a few weeks, I seen no new growth yet, but they are hanging in there. Overall I'd say they will make it, happier for sure in they new breathable mix. Thank you rePotame.

I repotted my orchid with this mix about 2.5 weeks ago & the plant seems to be doing well. I researched this topic which led me to their website video. I was expecting the mix to be a bit moist but it was very dry - maybe because it was older (?) since I went through Amazon. Also there was very little of the "spongy" ingredient, much less than had been in the previous pot. Too early to give a 5 star rating.

This orchid mix is hard to fit between the roots. Almost all of it is large pieces and very little moss. No small pieces to fill in some of the gaps, which are many with such large pieces. Mix was very dry (not moist), contrary to a recommendation from MissOrchidGirl.

This substrate is very chunky and comes very dry and clean. It will not make a mess when repotting, and is probably one of the best options for plants that need a lot of aeration in their substrate. There is a tiny bit of sphagnum moss in this, but I don’t think it’s enough to make any noticeable difference tbh. It’s very sparse. But regardless, I like this. It’s very chunky and even though I haven’t had anything planted in it for more than a week, I can tell that it’s going to be very hard to overwater and it’s going to be highly aerated. If you want to have a little more water retention just buy a little block of sphagnum moss (a little block of that stuff creates a TON of wet moss), or if you want to fill in the open space between the chunks you could use some perlite, or even some Aroid mix. See my second picture for what the majority of this product looks like. It’s difficult to pot an orchid with this if you’ve never done it before. In hindsight I would say to wet this product first, so that it has some weight to it, which will help to keep the plant upright. Otherwise you’ll have to continuously hold the plant up or stake it to keep it upright will filling the pot. It’s extremely light and blocky when dry.So I like everything about this stuff, nothing I mentioned is a negative to me (just trying to be helpful by pointing it out everything I can think of), but there is one negative; it seems expensive for what you get. For the mini bag, I was able to repot two orchids from 4” pots to one of each 5” and 6” pots, but I had to use a bunch of sphagnum moss, perlite and even some of the drier material from my Aroid Mix to fill the pots. It wasn’t enough for the two pots alone, at $20. I’m guessing the mini bag would fill about 1-1.5 pots which are 5-6” typical height pots. If you have repot multiple plants or you’re using large pots, you’re going to need a lot more than just the 2 quart mini bag (a quart is about 1 liter, it’s a little less, but remember this is very chunky stuff so a volume measurement isn’t super helpful because you’re cramming it all together in a pot much more than it is when it’s sitting loosely in the bag).

Excellent product. Very thick, and held up well so far. I would purchase this again. For a single orchid this size bag was great! Good value for the money !

I love the product itself but the seller charges way more then the rePot me company. I bought mini bag for $32.08 & price at rePotme is $14.95 . I’m in Canada so can’t get orchid mix from rePotme right now because of COVID. I thought the bag I was buying was medium sized. This is not a bad review because I should have read more carefully before ordering..I just don’t appreciate paying more then double for small bag.
