This is a solid rear view mirror bracket I bought to mount the Wolfbox G850 Pro to the Jeep. The bracket itself didn’t come with any instructions. You’ll need some simple tools, a small Phillips screw driver, flat head screw driver, and a T30 bit driver. A plastic pry tool could be useful but it isn’t necessary. A quick search on YouTube showed an easy step by step to remove your OEM mirror bracket which honestly is too difficult once you see the video and follow the steps.Like I said, the bracket is solid, no vibration going down the road. The only gripe I have is the power cable connector doesn’t fit through the bracket hole, at least for the power connection on the G850 Pro. Not sure if other camera models have a smaller connector. No issues with routing the GPS and rear camera connectors through which make for a clean cable routing install. It just the power cable hanging out.Another hope that I had with this bracket is to set the display back somewhat, and closer to the windshield and not protrude so far forward. As Jeepers are aware, the dash and windshield are very close to you, and the giant screen 12” screen on the G850 Pro and the G900 Pro are in your face. It would have been preferable to have an option for the bracket to tuck it up and back closer to the windshield. I did notice the neck of the bracket that attaches to the cam face is detachable, so maybe I can find someone to 3D print an arm with a different angle. Not a deal beaker.

It works fine but it's ridiculous that it's only offered in thus configuration and if you need the mount for a specific car then you have to buy a whole other kit (example the 179 for the jeep wrangler JL) designed for the G900 and in the end you still have a "full" kit left that could be used to install a G900 in a car that uses this mount. Is not only wasting materials, parts plastic, shipping, labor, mone, time and most important of all, it's very inconvenient and not even properly explained anywhere unless you check vehicle forums or call customer service, otherwise most people would assume it's impossible to mount their G930 with an OEM mount, just because they are either too lazy to create more SKUs or maybe they figured they can make the same amount by selling 100 units to 50 people rather than do more work to sell 100 units to 100 people.Anyhow if your vehicle happens to be a Jeep Wrangler JL or any of the other vehicles that have their own OEM mount for the G900 but you have/want a G930 the only official way to do it as of today is to buy the kit for the G900, then this one and use the other mount with this back, then take the extra parts and wrap them tightly using some clingwrap, try to use enough to keep everything as compact and small as possible, then use your favorite water based lubricant and stuff it where the sun doesn't shine because you just wasted $20 to mix your own kit. It's not ideal to say the least and now you might have a harder time sitting straight on the driver's seat but at least your mirror will look better. In other news, the parts seem to be well made and be of great quality, if only the above problems were solve this would be a 5 🌟 product. Also, if your jeep has the advanced cruise control box, this will not make it clear it, but if you get 30mm M6 bolts and 15mm spacers and lower the bracket it will almost fix the issue and it will clear the visors so it is worth it. And the easiest way to mount the spacers on the mount would probably be to hot glue them in place or maybe use a plastic sheet cut into little squares with a hole in the middle as a retainer "nut" so the spacers and bolt can stay in place and you can screw them in, otherwise the whole panel needs to come off along with both visors in order to maneuver the spacers into their place.

This worked perfectly for my jeep wrangler JL. I have not ran the wires yet in the picture but it took let than 10 mins to install .

Does the job, but the rear camera quality could be better. I even purchased the upgraded camera and it’s not much better.

It works, but you still can't use the sunvisors when you have adjusted like a regular rear view mirror. You either give up on one side.

I bought this OEM bracket to use with the G930 (10" kit) as the larger items block the sun visors. I should have done more research on part comparability. My fault. If you want to use a Wolfbox camera mirror that doesn't block your sun visors, you need the G930, this 179 bracket kit, but you also need the "10" OEM bracket". So really three parts. All that being said Wolfbox customer support is phenomenal. They answered quickly and accurately.

I put a Wolfbox G900 in my old 99 Wrangler and kept having the metal mirror mounting button fall off of the windshield, due to the added weight. (I had the proper mount for it, rather than just strapping the new display over the old mirror, and I also properly prepped the surfaces before using the proper glue, but it still fell off a few times.)I took a chance on this mount to see if it’d work, and it turned out to be a great way to move the heavy mirror off the windshield glass, and instead have a very sturdy mount off of the window frame above.I might not have had to, but I ground a bit of the aluminum off of the forward-most part, just to give the rear hole more room away from the edge. Three large self-tapping screws later and it’s good to go.
