I have a small, but wide trailer which is very hard to see around so I needed a camera that I could mount on the back. I did not have any power on the back so I definitely needed a solar powered camera and looked at quite a few on line. I decided on this one because it had the monitor size I needed and it had the magnetic mount camera that fit my needs! The camera arrived in one day so I wanted to test it out today but it’s very cold and snowing out so I’m testing it inside! It will be very easy to move to my truck and trailer when needed since all I would need to do was to plug in the monitor into the cigar lighter and it all powered up! It also comes with a USB power cable if needed. Instructions say to charge the camera before use so I plugged it in with the supplied cables. I was surprised to see that it came with a power supply as most of them don’t. The camera charged up in about three hours. Once the camera is installed on the trailer it will be solar powered so usually you will not have to charge it separately. Very handy! The camera immediately powered up, found the camera and gave me a very clear picture. It comes with one camera but you can order another one separately if needed, which I will since it would be vary handy to have one on the back of the trailer and one on the back of the truck for trailer hookup. You can select a split screen to help with that! Nice! Selection of camera is easy with one button push on the top of the monitor. I especially like that all the control buttons are on top, that makes it very easy to manage. Menu is easily accessible and very intuitive to use. Once you get the feel of them you can control all functions very easily. I especially like the backup lines on the monitor, makes it really easy to see where you are going. You can change the brightness, contrast and depth on the menu easily, plus you can flip the view if needed. I checked out the night vision by taking the camera into a dark room and found video was still really nice. That would be very helpful for night driving! I checked the distance I could move the camera away from the monitor and found that it could be moved more than 45’ away, quite impressive! Magnet is strong enough so I don’t need to worry about it being lost while driving and camera will auto turn off when the monitor is off or you can turn it off manually. Viewing angle is really nice, I can see all around the back of the trailer, just what I had hoped for. Overall its just what I needed and a great camera, I do recommend it!

I received my Dohonest v35 wireless backup camera and am impressed with it so far!The item arrived quickly and was well packaged. The box included the wireless camera and monitor, a dash/window mount for the monitor, two antennas, two power cables for the monitor (one USB and one standard cigarette adaptor) one USBC charging cable and charging cube for the camera, instruction manual and an Allen wrench.Camera: The wireless camera seems very sturdy and well constructed. It features a powerful magnet for mounting and a slightly rubberized base to assist in making sure the device stays put and does not scratch the finish of the surface it mounts to. It had no problem mounting to my trucks tailgate and held firm at highway speeds and over bumps without shifting. It takes some force to remove but that just adds to the reassurance thats its going to stay where its put. It also features an integrated solar panel on top of the camera to help supply additional power to the unit as well as act as a "roof" to help shield the lens from the elements. I do not know how much power the panel is supplying the batteries but I am sure it helps extend the battery life at minimum. The side of the unit it has a built in battery level indicator as well as a covered USBC charging port for quick charging. The camera is also tilt adjustable with thumb screws to secure the cameras position. The camera features an array of IR LEDs to assist with night vision modes. (More on that latter.)The box states that the unit is IP69 rated and although I didn't submerge the unit, it had no problems withstanding PNW downpours in January.Monitor: The monitor feature a 1080p screen and has a clear and bright picture. There is a slight delay but it is really only noticeable at higher speeds. For typical reversing speeds the delay would not be noticeable. The image can be flipped, and reversed to accommodate different mounting methods. The picture can be adjusted for brightness, hue and etc. It also features optional parking guide lines to assist in reversing. The guide lines are fully adjustable for height, width and on screen position. All of the screen controls are easily to figure out, I didn't even need the manual to figure them out.The unit comes with two cables to power the screen, a standard cigarette adaptor as well as a USB adaptor. The included mount features a sticky suction cup which mounts VERY securely to a windshield and I would have no doubts that it would stick to most dashboards too. The unit automatically connected to the camera the first time I powered it up but I saw it has a pairing mode to connect the devices together or to connect a second camera. The unit automatically switches between day (color) and night (black and white) modes based on the amount of available light. In night mode the IR LEDs activate and it delivers a clear picture even in total darkness.Perfomance: Without an RV to test it on, I tried testing the range by placing the camera on top of a bucket in large parking lot and driving away until it the screen disconnected. Unfortunately, I ran out of parking lot before that happened. The unit is advertised at having an open transmitting distance of 320ft and an effective distance of 36 feet when mounted. With the camera in the open but the monitor inside my truck, I would guess that it's range would likely be somewhere in between that. I would say that I beleive the advertised figures are accurate. At the time of review I have not been able to run the battery down from how it came pre-charged so I can not comment on how long the battery lasts. I can also say that it likely varies based on how much sun the solar panel receives.Overall: I would say this an easy to setup and easy to use solution for someone looking to add a camera to keep an eye on a trailer load or to aid in backing up an RV. The components of the kit all seem to be well thought out and of high quality. If I could offer any criticism, the camera is a little large and conspicuous. If you happen to live in a higher crime area, it could easily be stolen as it is just magnetically mounted. However, being magnetically mounted, it is also easy to remove and store inside your vehicle/RV when not in use.

So far so good! This backup cam works perfectly just like it advertises. It easily installs into just about any application/vehicle with no problems. I use it on a 26' box truck at work and I haven't had any issues. It connects every but albeit slowly every time. When the lens is clean it has a crystal clean picture and a wide enough angle view to see whatever needs seeing! So far the solar panel has kept the battery charged 100% the entire time I've owned it. I use it maybe 5-10 times a day and I usually forget to turn it off while I am in the back unloading stuff so it has had some running time on it and the battery has held firm. Nighttime use is awesome. It's night vision is clear as day. The magnets hold very, very strong so you won't be losing it bc of bumps or potholes. You can mount it anywhere there is metal and if you don't have metal you can always rivot a plate onto something. So far it has paid for itself and was a great bargain! I've driven it around in downpouring rain and below freezing weather and it always connects and works great. I do keep it clean so that does help with vision clearity. Anything attached to the rear of a work truck is going to get dirty as all get out so that to be expected. It's a heavy little device not necessarily meant for small cars or trucks. The monitor sticks fast to glass and plug and play is easy for any level of installer. I use the usb port on my dash bc it cuts power automatically when the key is off. Another nice thing is you can link several cams to one monitor easily. For future upgrades.
