The Wireless Backup Camera has been working well on my Toyota Corolla. If you owns an earlier model vehicle that does not have a factory-built rearview camera, this is probably for you. The safety enabled by rearview camera is not a good-to-have but a must-have.You can check my installation pictures to see how it looks like when installed on my Corolla. The night view picture is also included. The monitor size is just right and you do not want the monitor too large on your dashboard. The video quality is good.Here are the likes and dislikes.Likes:- Easy to install: Most rearview cameras are wired and the customers need to route the video cable from the rear license plate all the way to the dash board. This is the most time-consuming part of the installation. One would have to route the long cable through the metal door trim, under long plastic trims, under dashboard and finally properly connect to the display sitting on the dashboard. This wireless camera takes this procedure out of the equation.- DIY friendly kit: For DIY installation, the flexibility provided by manufacturers helps a lot. The installation kit includes a Y power cable to test if the parts work together properly, before you start the install. Two camera power cables of different lengths are including, just for the proper distance between the camera to 12V wires. Two wire taps are provided for the camera power connection.- Build quality: The build quality looks good. I had experience with a different wired rear camera kit and another wireless rearview camera kit for my trailer. This one looks quite decent.Dislikes:- Slight time lag after turning on the ignition and shifting to backing-up gear: I wired the camera to backing-up light. I can feel slight delay of video feed after shifting to back-up gear. The delay is about 1-2 seconds. So I have to wait a little bit before I can see the video. It is not a big deal to me though.As the last thought, product reliability is quality over time. Only time will tell its reliability that is built-in in the product design and manufacturing. The quality looks good so far. It works fine through the few 10 degree F nights of Texas in the last week. I hope it will last for years to come. Stay tuned.
