This is a great little camera. It comes with a drill bit for precise installation. It also has all the other connectors, wire ties, etc to make installing easier.

Great camera for the price! Picture is not as crisp as others, but not as expensive as others either.

I just got the mechanic to install the camera for me. Ofcourse it was easy for him. The length was enough for my sedan car. I had a back up camera before but the camera got damaged. The picture quality is great. So far I'm loving my new back up camera.

The camera's paperwork describes it as having CMOS at 600 TV Lines (960X956 pixels), adequate for many uses, but it may not work for a head unit requiring 1080p or 720p. I suspect that low rating and high returns in the comment section are because Amazon's page incorrectly listed it as 1080p (again, the CEO of the company changed it when I sent the company an email, which shows that the company is responsive to its customers if the customer reaches out to them. The camera is versatile in that by cutting one or two wires you can disengage either the reverse imaging (to make it a front camera instead of a rear camera) or remove the backing guide bars from being displayed in the image. It also comes with a pry tool, drill tool for soft bumpers, electrical connectors, and even a roll of electrical tape. I had to return it because it is not a 1080p or 720p camera, which is why my head unit that was looking for a 1080p camera had difficulty putting a proper image, but for many units and applications, this camera should work.

I installed this on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler with an Alpine Car Play head unit and had zero issues. I did cut the cable for the backup guide as it was useless without the turning feature. I mounted this with a bracket I fabricated and attached to the mounting bolts for the spare tire. Car washes, winter weather, and off road didn't affect the camera quality or the usage at all. Cable was more than long enough to route through the back access door, along the trim, under the door seal, and up into the dash. Had probably 10' left that I just zip tied up with the wiring harness. Overall easy plug and play. Image leaves a bit to be desired, but I'm just looking at how close I am to something, not the texture and detail on it.

This camera is not high definition by any standard. But the camera does what its supposed to do. Box is complete with tools, super duper circle cutter with pilot bit, color instructions and just enough wire for my compact suv. I used up an xtra 6 ft around the back door when I was forced to go up and over. If I hadnt done that, then the wire would have been way too long. Might want to investigate how many feet you will need for your vehicle which will require assessing the route that will hide wires. I would recommend that you remove all the trim ahead of time while you are waiting for the delivery. Also, go ahead and remove the panels on liftgate or trunk at the same time.Word of warning, if you put your camera under the overhang above your license plate, then the overhang at the top of the monitor will show it due to the fisheye lens. I thought it was a smart idea to keep the lens out of the rain. Turns out not so smart. Also, the bezel does not tighten down sufficiently. Design needs to be improved. A washer might help, havent tried it yet.Update: washer was a no go. I had to take the exterior bezel to the bench grinder to remove about 1/16". Making it shorter made it possible to tighten it properly. Lot of fn around and wasting my time. This isnt going to work for most buyers if the chose the "cut a hole" option. After they cut the massive hole they will realize that it is not possible to tighten the bezel. This is because the sheet metal where you are cutting the hole is too thing. Trust me......the washer Idea will not work. At this point, I do not recommend buying this until the design is changed so that it will properly tighten to thin sheet metal.Update jan 16. Sorry to say this is a really bad backup camera. I tried to use it before giving a bad rating. As others have said...the colored guides are shooting into the air. Contrast and brightness are really unacceptable, even after messing with the color adjustments on my touchscreen radio. But I really hate about this is the magnification. A car 6 feet behind you looks like its 100 feet away. Sort of like looking in the wrong end of a pair of binoculars. I know this review will likely cause agita for the seller but it is what it is. Really disappointed and, no, I don't want a free new one or a refund. This is just a review to inform potential buyers that you get what you pay for. I will give big kudos for the tool kit and metal hole cutter that was include though. Those hole cutters cost 6-7 bucks in the big box stores. If they didnt include the tools they could sell this camera $8.....which is about what it is worth. If you are depending on this camera for daily use while backing up then this is not for you. I really don't even know what it might be good for, not even a driveway monitor. Magnification is just to low. Maybe YT has some DIY backup cams that are better than this. Sorry. BTW this is 170 degree fisheye lens. Should be 140 degrees. Too much distortion at 170.
