Well it’s really nice looking, and take 4x AA batteries. It’s quite quiet and the miter seams strong enough, but all it actually does is stop you from having to do the twisting motion yourself. Once fully in the cork the opener then needs to be manually pulled to take the cork out I used a newer wine hoping it would be easier to show how it worked to remove the cork. Once the open has fully gone into the cork you just need to give it a good old fashioned pull and the cork comes out. After than you just hold the coke with your other hand and press the little up button and it unscrews it. So yea it works but not the way you think. If you wanted a nicer looking bottle opener that doesn’t require you to twist this is your boy, if you need it to open your wine, week look to another product.

Look, I’m a long time fan of the waiter’s tool. Made my money by being really good at using one for years. So why would I want some battery operated tube that removed wine corks?Because it’s kinda fun!Drop in 4 AA batteries you have in that particular kitchen drawer, put the device on top of the bottle. Hold the bottle with one hand so it doesn’t spin. Push down on the device and push and hold the bottom button until it stops. Your wine is open! Press the top button and some hidden mechanism inside the device ejects the cork. I don’t know, don’t ask, but it’s cool. This is in rotation for “friends hanging out for the evening”, but I’ll still be opening important bottles by hand because that’s part of the whole wine ritual, isn’t it?
