I’m giving this four stars because the package I received was also open but all the parts were in it so it really didn’t bother me at all. And I’m not sure what people are talking about. I put it on my windows and it works just fine. You can’t raise the wind window. There’s a plastic piece inside of it that stops it from doing any damage to the window so I’m not sure what the reviews that are bad or about, but I thought it worked fine and is doing its job.

it gives me a nice feeling knowing burglars can easily pry my sliding doors to get into the house. Not an end all be all product but does give me some comfort that a little effort is needed to get into my house.

This product didn't fit my windows. So I returned them. Absolutely nothing wrong with them. The package came in on time. Great condition. The return process was smooth and easy. I would recommend them if it worked out for me. But unfortunately they didn't.

I purchased the single screw in locks. The space needed to fit snuggly on my window didn't match the space of the lock. I was still able to screw in the lock and the window did not budge at all. The black buffer wasn't necessary for me and most of them fell out and were lost before I was able to screw the lock to the window. I would purchase this type of lock again and with larger windows I would recommend the style with two bolts for extra security.

I bought these to put on every window in my house. They lock in really well so you don't have to worry about them falling out. I have bought these multiple times. Used them in my old house with regular windows and put 1 on each. In my new house the windows are larger so I like to put one on each side of the window. They are small but sturdy, and very easy to install. They are also simple to take off if you want to continue using the window.

Buenos seguros, bastante bien por el costo y no te daña el marco de aluminio, al tener puertas pesadas ayuda para dificultar su apertura, como una segunda opción funcionaron despues de 1 semana muy bien.

After a recent break-in at a neighbor's apartment we decided to invest a little in home security. I looked at many options and decided to purchase this item because it has a rubber lining that protects the window frame (especially important because we rent and don't want to damage the apartment.) We have 11 windows and were able to install one lock on each in about 30 minutes. The installation is straightforward - I would recommend taking the rubber lining out of the lock and place it where you want it on the window and using a hammer guide the aluminum lock in place. Next we tightened the screws with long-nosed pliers (really helps to tighten as much as possible) and tested each lock by trying to open the window. After each test, all the door locks stayed in place, didn't even budge - it would take someone with Herculean strength to move the locks. I would really recommend to tighten the screws with the help of pliers or a wrench - I read a couple of reviews where people just tightened the screws with their hands and were able to make the lock budge but it really helps to use the right equipment.

These are fantastic!! I installed two on each window. They are super easy, fast, effective, and affordable!They lay flush against the pane, and the rubber gripper allows for a seal creating a firm secure hold without destroying or marring the integrity of your casing. They fit precisely. They are discreet in size, and will not pop off the casement. They are engineered with that in mind, as they are positioned on the INSIDE of the casement.TIPS:1. Use two locks -- one on each side of the casement. Make sure to position them flush against the pane.2. Remove the rubber lining for ease of initial placement. Slip the lock onto the casement. From the top slide the rubber lining back into place.3. Secure the screws by hand and then tighten using a pair of pliers. You will be amazed at how many more rotations you can achieve, and how tight they become.When used with your casement lock you are afforded an impenetrable window when installed correctly. These will NOT allow your window to open affording optimal security.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
