These were a gift. When I asked, the recipient expressed that the design was great and the product easy to install and use.

We put two of these on our back patio door. This side of the house gets the morning sun, so it appears the glue melted or softened. When I accidentally opened to door with the bars engaged, the literally fell off.

My patio doors opened from left and right. I didn't feel like I had a way to secure the outside door. I tried this product and i was impressed with the strength of the adhesive and the parts. This seems to be an acceptable way to secure both doors.

We got these for 1st floor windows and sliding doors. The ones on the sliding doors were in a not temperature controlled full-sun location, so the glue detached in the heat of the summer sun. Also the glass is old enough to not be the double pained insulated doors. Had to go back to a stick in the track for security. Otherwise they work amazing in shaded or temperature controlled areas or double pained windows with the gas insulation between. The clear color gives a less obvious look to the windows making visibility a non-issue. And fit just right for opening windows and doors when disengaged.

I manage a commercial property and all our units have patio doors. We used to install the metal patio door bars and tenants used to break them. The cost of those was $17. Now we use the Burglabar. It takes seconds to install, you get 4 for the price of one of the old-style. They look better, are safer around kids, and even if a tenant breaks it it's and easy fix

I didn't buy these for a long time, because I worried that whenever it fails the flapper will fall straight down and is a security/safety risk. But I used one that was installed upside down and I had to buy them. If the flapper fails it will fail to the locked position (unless there's a serious trauma that destroys the whole hinge). This is good for most people unless they need to guarantee that the door is unlocked and have no other access. Also, I can easily open and close this with my left pinky. Or if I just don't slam it, it opens and closes silently. I tried the kind that's like a 2x2" square and you have to squeeze the top and bottom and then pull the whole thing out. It required 2 hands or 3 awkward fingers, and was loud, with a click when opening and closing-just a minor annoyance. That one was also bigger and more noticeable. I've also tried the kind that's like 1x2" and the inner rectangle pulls out at an angle to lock in. It's hard to explain, but either way, Ive tried three different locks and this is the best by far. And it's clear so we barely notice it.

Al ser de plástico, creo que la seguridad te la dará al instalarlo lo más cerca de la otra puerta estando ambas bien cerradas y con seguro.

The original locks on the sliding mirrored wardrobe doors in my motorhome wore out and were going to be unbelievably expensive to replace. Rather than to replace the unsuccessful original locks, I came across an article about these BurglaBars. Seemed like a better idea than using the originals. I cleaned the wardrobe mirrors with vinegar and water, then applied the locks. They are super tight. I have went on a road trip since installing the locks and they held perfectly. I applied a lock at the top and at the bottom of the inside door for extra protection from movement. There is plenty of clearance between the doors to allow for unimpeded sliding action when the locks are in the open position. The locks appear to be very well made and very sturdy. I am satisfied these will continue to do the job for years to come. Very easy to install.
