So I needed an outdoor rain shield to cover a large window air conditioner in a bedroom window upstairs in my house. The size of this product seemed to fit the bill, and the price was very affordable. After receiving it the first thing I noticed was how cheaply it is made. Very thin plastic panels and just a drawing on how it is supposed to be put together. It comes with concrete anchors only so if you are attaching it to wood like I did you will need to buy the screws for that. Once I got it put together and hung it is not really a bad product. If you order this item the easiest way to put it together is first put together items A, C, D, and E, that's your center. Take on outside bracket B and connect it to the center pieces on one side and screw them tight with item F screws. Then take the second bracket item B and do the other side the same way. This will make life much easier for you assembling this product. Even the quality is not what I expected the item is a good fit for my application.

I read the reviews for this and thought I would take a chance but now I regret having done so. I didn’t expect superior quality for the price but I expected more than I got. The only reason for one star is the quality of the supports. All else gets zero stars. Putting this together was not extremely difficult if the parts would fit. However, the poly panels did not fit properly and I struggled to make it work. Once I was able to get it all together the top was bowed and did not stay connected. Eventually it just came apart rendering it a useless product and I had to then abandoned the project altogether. I realize that others were able to get theirs together and installed with ease so I will add that I have years of experience and am mechanically and technically inclined so this was not expected to be a difficult project. Perhaps it was list a bad batch but either way I am out the cost. I’m unsure what route to take now because at this point I’m not going to do another one of these. I wanted something quick and simple and this wound up being opposite. Pics included to show what was happening.

I am pretty impressed by this affordable solution I had to getting rained on while fumbling for my keys at the Garage door. I had to install it by myself, so I first fully assembled the Unit - and then used some Poster Board to create a Template so that I could center the awning over the door, and accurately mark where to drill for the bolts. The awning comes with very long expandable bolts for a cinder-block installation. I was only going through vinyl siding and wood. I had to buy four 1-1/2" lag bolts from the Hardware store for my installation through the plywood and into the door-frame studs. They were $0.35 a piece so no big deal.I used my oscillating saw to cut into the lower protruding lip of the vinyl siding so that the awning brackets would install flat against the garage wall.It rained the very next day and the area below the awning was dry! Just what I wanted to a price that suits my budget.

This has been a godsend in that it protects a door from rain run off and snow. It was a bit wonky to put together but once I worked with it I was quite pleased at how sturdy and nice it looks.

I ordered this awning to keep rain off the door of my shop building. It does a great job of that, and I was very pleased at how it really dresses up the appearance of the building front. The caveat is that assembling and installing this awning is NOT a one-man job. The pieces go together fairly easily, but holding everything together as you hang the awning definitely requires four hands, not two. Be sure to peel off the thin plastic protective film on BOTH surfaces of each plastic sheet. I'm quite satisfied and think this is a great deal for your money. If the plastic lasts ten years it will have been worth it.
