Works perfectly for what I needed it for my little backyard. I used to have a gazebo but this is a much better option since it takes up way less floor space. Also the canopy material for this is a lot thicker, and I'm hoping more durable than a gazebo canopy, which doesn't hold up on the Arizona sun/heat. I don't like that a lot of parts are plastic since they'll probably break some day but these are very affordable to just replace the whole thing if that happens. If you get one of the larger sizes (I got 118 inch) you will probably need somebody to help you set this up, it was REALLY hard by myself to hang up. Everything else was easy though.

Looks great, fairly easy to put together & install. Would have given it 5 stars but the description says waterproof rain protection and the install info says 'not for rain protection'. Additionally is is not very heavy duty. Instructions say not for more than wind level 2, which is less than 5mph winds. So if you have no wind, and didn't want it protect an entry from rain, it's a nice awning. Mine will get wet, so we'll see how long it lasts.

Make sure you have a solid overhang that can hold the pressure as it is held by tension

I am a 5'4 woman. I assembled this myself in 45 minutes, only because I had to stop and get a large stool and distance the poles by trial and error. Essentially, you can follow the near word-less instructions just by the well-drawn diagrams. Take a moment to read through the instructions once, and then step by step, it is quite simple. All I needed was a Phillips head screwdriver. The fabric is very durable and the poles are in TIGHT. I was able to adjust it to my exactly 86" deck, flat surfaces. I noticed the feet can pivot, which would make it possible to wedge it against a slanted ceiling. I was able to tighten the feet and align the bars by myself. All in all, excellent value, as I purchased a used one for $68 and it was in near perfect condition, maybe a few scratches on one pole, but can't tell if it's due to shipping or what. Everything was wrapped as if it was new. No missing parts. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something cheap or are in an rental like me and are weary of screwing things into walls.

Complicated to set up and fabric stretches with use making it difficult to roll up. Provides good shade but really not worth the money.

Yesterday our area was hit by a strong gale and the awning umbrella almost flew away and somehow the crank rod got bent when I tried to roll it up and there it broke down into 2 pieces .... what kind of material is this rod made of and cannot hold to such touch weather conditions ?

This shade awning set up in a jiff. Very straightforward easy-to-follow instructions made this bad guy go up in 15-20min.Looks great and it’s extremely easy to use, providing shade for myself and protection for any projects I’m working on as it covers the entire length of a very large outdoor workbench. Highly recommended!
