I had difficulties finding a screen that was 6" long, so I was grateful to find my size and preferred color through this company. Easy to assemble, light, and works well for our needs. It's waterproof and keeps the wind and light away. I would highly recommend this product.

We've had these for over a year. They work well to block sun and provide privacy. We have 2 side by side for a wide 12' gazebo opening. They can attach together at the middle and to the legs of the gazebo on the sides. Wind is a bit of a problem because they still blow out or in depending on the wind direction and speed. The crank handle takes a while to raise and lower them - lots of turns. So far they have held up well but we took them in for the Illinois winters. Pleased with the product so far.

These shades are great. Good quality, works very well yet not costing a great deal. I have 5 shades.

I used this product to shade my back Sun deck. They are very sturdy. I chose the Color Walnut, which is a beautiful shade. They are easy to install and last for years. Very happy with my purchase.

I just installed this on my back deck and it seems to be pretty much exactly what I hoped for. Time will tell, but at least initially, I am very happy with both the appearance and the functionality. (And the size matched what I ordered: 6' wide by 8' tall.)If you want extra bungee receivers so that you can secure the bottom of the shade at different heights, they are inexpensive, but as far as I can see they can only be ordered direct from Coolaroo's web site. (They're listed in the "replacement parts" section.)I do have a few other notes:1) I found the appropriate drill bit size for the pilot hole in my softwood beam to be 1/8" (might want slightly larger for hardwood). The instructions specified a larger drill bit size (3/16") but I tested first and that was much too large for the screws that came with the shade — had I drilled pilot holes before checking, I would have been very unhappy. (Their specified size might be appropriate if using the optional anchors, but I didn't need them.)2) When I mounted the end units, I was very slightly higher on one end than the other. When extended all the way, the bottom of my shade is visibly not level. I'm guessing this is because of my end unit placement error, so I recommend being very precise with the vertical placement when mounting the end units. (Due to the slotted screw guides instead of screw holes, you have some leeway horizontally. It might be a challenge, but in an ideal world one of the end caps would have some kind of control letting you fine tune the vertical position too.)3) I initially attempted to swap the clutch to the left side but to do that you have to swap the end plugs on the shade tube, and I was unable to pull those end plugs out. It wasn't important in my case, so I simply gave up and used it as-is, but for anyone who needs to do this, it might be a struggle unless there's some trick which simply eluded me.

Bought these for our screened in porch for privacy. They were slightly wide so my husband and I trimmed them down. He took off the end caps and slid the fabric off the top rail. He put up the mounts to get a correct measurement and then cut both the top and bottom rails to size with a hack saw. I trimmed the excess fabric leaving about 3/4 of an inch to turn and and sewed it all the way down. You can't even tell we trimmed them and it was very easy to do!We love the privacy it gives us and helps keep the rain out also. We will be buying more for the other side of our porch!

We installed our shades on a day when the sun was blazing down on our gazebo. When the shades were lowered it blocked the sun and made it very comfortable to sit outside. I would highly recommend this product.

I ordered the 8 foot width and 6 foot width, both 8 feet long in Walnut. The shade is well made for the cost. It is not comparable in quality to $450 outdoor shades that I have bought in the past, but it is a great cheaper alternative. I believe it will hold up for at least several years.Changing the brackets to a ceiling mount versus a wall mount was extremely simple and took 2 minutes per shade.I was able to hang both by myself after carefully measuring the distances between the mounting brackets. I mounted both brackets. I had a ladder to hold up one end of the shade while inserted the other end (Crank side) into the end bracket, then moved over to the other ladder and snapped the other end of the shade into its bracket. Didnt have to get my wife off the phone to help. It took more time to get my tools out of and back into the garage than it did to install either shade. The bottom needs to be secured if you dont want this flapping around and hitting chairs and people when the wind picks up. One end for each of them is next to a stone fireplace and chimney, so I drilled a hole into the stone and inserted a masonary screw with a eye loop end. A shortened bungi cord holds this side of the shade near the stone fireplace and keeps it from moving more than a few inches in any direction when the wind blows. The other side of both is not near anything to connect to and I didnt want to put a hook into the concrete patio, so I built a small wooden flower box, approximately 7 x 10 and 9 inches tall. I mounted a fence hinge into it with the long end (approx 6 inches long) of the hinge sticking up sticking up, and filled the box with black polished stones from Home Depot for weight. The hinge was mounted so the top of it is about 2 inches above the edge of the box. I attach the bungi cord between the bottom of the shade and the top mounting hole in the fence hinge. Last, I purchased some artificial sunflowers of various colors from Amazon and placed them in a small planter within the stones in the flower box. When the shade is up, the flower boxes are great decorations for my outside living area. When I want the shade down and secured, I place the flower boxes on the ground and connect the bottom of the shade to hinge with a bungi cord of the correct length. Works great even in the 40 mph gusty winds I had today. I would purchase these again if needed.

The roller shade covers my entire family room sliding door, from top to bottom & width-wise. I can see outside. But looking in from outside, inside is not visible. It rolls up and down easily with a long handle. If it's a windy day and I hear the handle tapping, I can easily remove it and bring it into the house. Very satisfied with it. I also like the walnut colour.

I installed this roller blind underneath my deck outside as a privacy shield for a hot tub. The material looks very natural and is slightly transparent - actually a good feature as you won't be surprised by someone approaching from the other side. The crank works well but takes alot of cranking - not a problem unless you are adverse to exercise. I've used it for about 3 weeks and like it so far.
