Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Having heard a lot of good thing about Whiteside bits, I thought I'd try them out. Very well made, and fairly priced.

You can't go wrong with a Whiteside router bit. They're sharp, thick carbide cutters, and made in the USA. This one was delivered quickly. I bought it to cut hinge knuckles in maple for use with my Incra Hinge Crafter. The router bit cut very cleanly without burning.

A great router bit from Whiteside. Used to mill up a bunch of 1/2" bull-nose bead that went on top of the head casing on all my door casings. My lumberyard doesn't sell 1/2" bull-nose so I made it myself. I own quite a few whiteside router bits and I'm happy with them all.

I use this bit to make custom, hardwood, louvered doors. I make my louvers 1/2” thick and this bit works great for rounding both edges of the louvers with one pass!

I needed this bit to match the trim on an existing piece of furniture. This trim will be used on a furniture project that will reflect the same style.
