I bought this bit based on the postivie reviews. It comes in a very hard plastic flattened cylinder. You have to use a knife to cut off a plastic button to get the cylinder to open. Inside the router bit sits on a pedistal with a square push button under it. You can twist the bit, but it doesn't come out. You can push the button, but it doesn't come out. Nothing allows the bit to come out. It's shank sits down deep into the hard plastic beneath it. The bit won't budge. The pedistal rotates in place. There's no reason a bit like this should be locked in a vault. I got on Bosch support site - when I wouldn't divulge my email address and every other point of personal data, they ended the contact. This shouldn't be a hassel, but it is. I'm done with these people.
