This converter/charger is an exact replacement for the WF-9855 that came with my RV from the factory. It has more capability and is a little lighter. I have upgraded the battery in the RV to an AGM from the deep cycle marine house battery that came with it. I am looking at going to a LiFePO4 battery to save weight and add capacity. To do that, I need this converter. It auto detects Lithium or lead acid technology and adjusts charging for the battery. The standard charger does not fully charge lithium batteries like this one will. The size and footprint of this converter is the same, so except for the tight compartment in the RV switching them out is easy. Remove and connect three wires and one AC plug and a couple of mounting screws and you are done. So far, so good.

First time out with it, noticed our battery was low and we're plugged into shore power. Should show 14v when plugged in. After many tests, it appears the fan does not work and it overheats.

This is an updated header for my previous review: The product description has been revised and now is correct. This is a good converter for Lead Acid batteries. I appreciate the response from the seller, and for making the change quickly. They were kind enough to refund my purchase, because I needed a Lithium charger. My previous review was as follows...This converter does NOT charge Lithium batteries. Here is the response from the company themselves:YOUR CONVERSATION WITHMAOYUMAOOct 4, 2024 9:00 AMHello. In the description, this converter will autodetect lithium batteries. However, on the unit itself there is no mention at all of lithium charging capability. it only says "output: 13.6VDC 55AMPS" if the label is true, it will not work with Lithium batteries. Our battery wasn't charging on our trailer and we finally figured out it was due to a faulty power converter. Ordered this and it was an exact fit easy swap out. Works perfectly!
