Used this for one week. The guy I hired was careless. He weighed about 140 pounds and managed to break off 5 rungs and ruin the ladder!

The ladder is fairly well-made for it's class, but has a design defect with the rope and pulley system (see photo). The design should never allow this rope binding situation to occur. To address some of the other comments you might see here, it's heavy, yes, but there's no way around having a 32 foot lader be easy for one pserson to manage (but I can, with some difficulty). I bought mine at Lowe's, and their price (it was on sale at the time) was literally about half of what the price is here today. To get it home, I stuck it in a Honda Accord...it was next to the windshield in front, and sticking quite a ways out the back, but I got it home! Also, if you get a long ladder, think of where you will store it. It's too long for my garage, so I bought a couple of things something like this to hang it on my deck. The hangers went right into the rim joist of the deck. And you might want to buy a lock and a couple feet of chain too.

Can't beat free shipping on this huge 40ft ladder. Great price and delivered in perfect condition. The only thing to be aware of is that this ladder is really heavy. It's almost impossible to move or place with just one person. Worked well and seemed sturdy when I was up on it with a paint bucket. Would reco to anyone looking for a big ladder and doesn't want to try to haul something this big from Menards or Home Depot.

The Werner D1328-2 is an excellent 28 foot 250 LB rated aluminum extension ladder. I am using it to paint trim on my two story house. Well built and sturdy! I have a Werner 16 foot 225 pound rated ladder and their is quite a difference in construction strength between the two and I feel much more comfortable climbing my new Werner 28 foot 250 LB rated ladder.Kudos to Amazon. I paid $247 shipped for it which was cheaper than local box stores and I did not have to pay for or arrange shipping. I ordered it 09/12 via free shipping and it arrived 09/22. Amazon tracking info was right on for delivery date and shipper called my 2 days prior to let me know that it would arrive on 09/22 between 8:00 AM and noon. They delivered it at 8:00 AM sharp and called that morning to remind of delivery. Ladder arrived looking new!

What a deal! I don't have the ability to transport a 28' ladder. It never dawned on me to check Amazon & have it delivered. Google shopping led me to you. Delivery was on time & relatively cheap (certainly cheaper than renting a truck.) The product is just as advertised.I couldn't be happier.

Most of the time that I buy stuff on Amazon, they are the cheapest and the quality of the product received is top rate. Unfortunately this is not one of those times.1) I ordered the ladder from Amazon for $179.00, sears had it for 159.00. I have a truck so I would have no need to have it delivered ($50), if I had ordered it from Sears. So it wouls have been cheaper for me at Sears.2) ABF was the company that delivered the product to me. When the ladder arrived, it was not in any box or plastic wrap. Subsequently, it arrived scratched (pretty bad) on one side. This is a brand new ladder, and should have arrived as such.I am still going to use the ladder, which looks like it will work fine. I just wished I had bought it at Sears (or other retailers like Home Depot and such). I probably would have been happier with my purchase then.
