We’re a family-owned business run by Maggie, Richard and Jayne Abdy with pewter-smithing in the blood. Jayne is our lead creative, she trained in metalwork design here in the City of Sheffield. She follows in the footsteps of skilled pewter craftsman, Arthur Richard Wentworth, who founded Wentworth Pewter in 1949.
Our pieces have featured in Hollywood movies and in some of the world’s most iconic stores including Tiffany’s and Liberty’s. We feel honoured to have customers across the globe, from the UK to Europe and the USA. Known to have ancient roots Pewter possesses a unique combination of qualities. It retains its sheen, is hardwearing and is incredibly flexible to work with, making it the ideal material for developing and crafting new designs. It’s therefore no surprise that pewter has been in continuous use since the Bronze Age and is one of the world’s oldest manufacturing industries.

They are beautiful. I grow Philodendrons in water in them. They root and grow great I read plants like copper in them?
