This can’t really be Pearl Izumi. The materials are inferior. The cushion is thin and poorly stitched. Everything about this piece is low quality.

The chamois is a great fit for my narrow hips/ sits bone. I love the chamois, but the waist sits too low and my tummy hangs out. I’m not a large person I’m only 100 lbs but high waist bibs feel so much better.I need a high waist bib with a narrow chamois.

As a long-time serious cyclist I've been through many brands and styles of cycling shorts. And honestly, I was never the biggest fan of PI products as although the quality is high, the styling on their women's products always seemed so drab and boring. And being older the cycle shorts were always too short in the leg for my taste. (Sugar shorts? Just no.) So I tended to skip all things PI except for their pro gel gloves...until I tried this bib short. I couldn't believe how these bibs hit every quality point I was looking for! The fabric is soft, light and stretchy, yet firming and smoothing once you are in. I like compression and these have the perfect amount of it. My muscles feel supported and I don't jiggle. The legs are long; on me reaching to about 2.5-3" above my knee. The small silicone dots are very comfortable and since there is no compressive band at the opening there is no squeezing and sausage effect. The little clasp in the front keeps your straps in place and organized, but I'll admit that opening the clasp takes a little bit to get used to. It's not difficult, just a different type of clasp system than I was used to. The straps themselves are a single layer of the same fabric; very comfortable and do not dig into your shoulders the way some can that have been sewn together. The pad is quite good, especially for century rides. It stays put, ventilates well, has just enough gel to be supportive but not so much that it rubs uncomfortably as the miles rack up. The fabric washes well and it hang-dries quickly due to the fabric's lightness. It wicks very well...stretches every way I move without resistance. Put these on and you feel almost like you're in a very comfortable second skin. Plus, it smooths any lumps and does not create lumps as some compression shorts do at the waist line. In all, these are the best shorts I've ever encountered, and I have bought a new pair each year for the past years, and ditched the shorts that are now getting threadbare. These are very pricey, but the quality is very good. After 13 years of use I'm just now replacing my older shorts with these new bibs. I'm expecting to get the same longevity out of my PI shorts. Having 3 of them helps extend their life, as does proper laundering with a sports wash like Nathan's, and never putting them in the dryer - especially not with high heat settings. All in all, these do the trick for me. I rarely use a regular shorts anymore; not even on short rides! While I still find PI jerseys to be dull and boring, these shorts just cannot be beat! By the way, I bought these in Medium, not XS as it says above, and I'm 5'4", 145-150 lbs.

I got this for my girlfriend. She had another from the same brand and got to a point where that’s all she would wear on long rides. The drop tail is a game changer. This particular version is lightweight and apparently cooler on hot days. This is worth the money. Comes highly recommended.

She loves it. Perfect fit. Great design for the road and port-a- potty bathroom facilities.
