The blade speed seems a bit slow, but it cuts very accurately. The first thing I did was to weld a half inch rod to the removable stop so I could cut legs for a stand longer than eight inches. The factory blade didn't last long, so buy a couple of extra blades. The trigger switch should be a toggle instead of a momentary switch. I use a small pony clamp to squeeze the trigger until I decide on a permanent fix.

Wen are unsung makers of decent tools. So are Husky. The little saw is conveniently sized and portable. It does the job intended well and the swivel head instead of vise is really convenient for cutting angles.Just wish they had held the price instead of more than a full hundred bucks in price increase.Sorry too say, the Vevor saw looks about the same for nearly $200 less. Probably made in the same factory.

Was hopeful when I purchased, but was also weary. Seems to be well made. Have a few other WEN products, and they have all done well, and this is no exception. If using in a full time shop, I am sure it would not be robust enough to keep up with production. But for a home machine that will see light use and some fabrication, it seems like it is going to work out well. Have cut a few pieces of 2 inch 1/8 thickness square without any issues, along with multiple other smaller metal pieces. The variable speed is also nice. I did purchase a couple imachinist blades, and did not even try to use the supplied blade. Will update if I run into any problems

This is the best saw on the market for this price range. Cuts great if you know how to actually cut with a band saw. This one isn't for you if you're heavy handed. Take some time to adjust it. Think outside the box. Just wanted to let everyone know, it cuts much better if you tie/hang a weight for the plunge, instead of trying to apply pressure with your hand. I find that a piece of scrap metal and a clamp work just fine.

I have been a machinist & wood worker for 44 years. I own several different brands of power tools in my home shop. Currently of those tools five are wen products including my 35 year old wen reciprocating saw that has seen a ton of use and is still going strong. For the price wen tools are decent tools for the home work shop. However I can't give a rating of the 3975T benchtop bandsaw. The saw arrived with the motor reset button broken off which had dropped down inside the motor housing. There were no signs of damage to the factory box so I have to assume the damaged occurred at the factory prior to shipping. To be fair I have never seen this before as wen products usually arrive in perfect condition. That being said I am still buying the wen 3975T bandsaw but I am going to purchase it locally.

I cut mild steel bands for welded metal sculptures. Got really tired of using a hacksaw or jigsaw and a vise. This bandsaw is nice and slow for a clean controlled cut through metal. Better for holding long stock while cutting off a section than you could do on a vertical bandsaw (even if you can find one that runs slow enough for metal). Also good for clamping and cutting strips that have already been bent. By placing a longer bolt on the "stop" I can cut only to a desired depth, to facilitate bending a sharp angle.I do have a 14" chop saw with diamond blade that is good for quickly cutting bundles of re-bar. But the noise and spray of sparks make it unsuitable for any kind of precision work.

Hands down better value then a chop saw and dont have to deal with sparks. Cuts straight and 60 degree angle is very nice. Also having the saw swivel instead of the vice the material stays tight in the vice

Product has been mostly good for the last two months...use it a couple times a week...the angle accuracy is about 2degrees off so made angle go-no-go gauges for cuts every 15 degrees for most used angles...the negatives are minor but annoying nonetheless...the blade that came with the unit lost teeth the first day on aluminum...not a huge deal but had to order a starett blade took a couple of days which held up things...the blade comes off the wheels at least once a week which is an inconvenience...gotta figure out a way to modify the to stop this...other than that I would buy it again...

After 6 weeks of use everything started coming loose. Soft metal components resulted in inaccurate cuts and aggravation. Had to purchase new bolts for the guide lock because of cheap hardware. Don’t buy this saw.Update a few days later......this saw isn't that bad....it was just the aggravation of wanting to use it after a few weeks and spending hours trying to repair/redesign things....The saw is now cutting straight and seems to be working fine. I Will say.... Amazon was really nice about allowing me to return this item after the return window had closed by nearly 4 weeks. We were going to replace the saw with a $595.00 Baileigh but decided to keep the WEN. AFTER close inspection of the Baileigh its pretty much the same saw and there's someone on Youtube doing a review of the Baileigh.....stating this.....Anyway....I thought it would be fair to come back and give this saw an honest 3-4 star for the money.

Love the look and works wonderful. However during shipping or manufacturing my safety button was broken off completely yet I managed to fix it. Either then that all good!
