A wicked looking edge, but the blade is actually only well-suited for softer stems.I tried it clipping single vine tips and it worked beautifully with minimal effort. But even slightly firmer stems took more effort, and ones that were at all "woody" merely showed scrapes rather than cutting, even with a fair swing. So if you want to cut those flower heads? Great. If you want to cut the firm stem for an arrangement? Nope. For my use case of trimming certain types of plants, without having to get each stem individually between my shear blades, this doesn't help much.Other thoughts: the point is very pointy for the blade not being that sharp. There's no blade guard for safe storage (it ships well wrapped but not with a wrapping you can really re-use), though there is a cardboard tip guard. The whole thing is coated in machine oil to avoid rusting, so your hands will stink of metallic oil after you handle it.It's well priced, so if you're the kind of work "plant by plant" on your knees gardener, this could still be handy. For my uses, I'll keep looking.
