I got the kit and tried to install it but the striker couldn't be installed due to the bracket did not have threads in it to screw the bolts into. Wish that would be in the directions/description so I knew I needed a tap to thread the bracket for the striker. The latch works great and was an easy install. If the striker bracket would have came tapped for the supplied bolts I would have given a 5 star rating. Also as I read from other reviews it would be nice if they included the rod connectors for the latch.

I bought this latch to replace the broken one on my 25 year old tool box. It was an exact replacement and took about 10 minutes to replace it.

Had a truck box that wouldn't close correctly, even after adjusting the latches. Then I discovered that one spring was broken and the other was weak. A pair of these latches took just a few minutes to install and work great.

The latch on my 685-3-01 box was completely worn. I could not drive two miles without the lid of my toolbox popping open. Ordered and installed this, no more blocked rear window on my truck. All necessary hardware (4 bolts) included.

We bought this box for my son at a yard sale.He is attending Alpena Community Colledge in Alpena, Michigan. He is studying to be a utility technician. He has a lot of bulky expensive equipment he carries around.The locks and latches were badly worn. The new replacement parts came from Amazon. They fit well operate great the box looks old but it acts new,
