This is a nice set of replacement stainless handles - my old ones were rusted solid (locking portion) and needed to be drilled out. When you drill the rivets off of your old ones, make sure you don't use a bit any larger than the diameter of the supplied replacement rivets, or they may not hold well. I tried the locks out prior to installation and found the keys go in very hard and are hard to remove - the problem was flashing from cutting the keys - a few strokes on 320 grit sandpaper on the sides of the keys removed that and they worked much better. Shouldn't have needed to do so though... That said, installation went well and the rivets took a fair amount of force to pop - which is expected for this application. Toolbox is back to working condition now.

Bargain Price but β Keys and lock cylinder needed a lot of work to function properlyThis locking tool box handled latch is exactly as described with the external parts made of Stainless Steel. However, I had to have a Locksmith buddy do some work to get the keys to function smoothly. The keys and lock should have worked perfectly from the factory. He had to use his special brass wire wheel grinder brush to remove the edges burrs of the factory keys. He lubed the lock cylinder with a special lock lubricant to get the lock cylinder to turn smoothly. I should not have had to have any of that work done. The product should have been consumer ready right out of the box. The two latches use the same key, but the description shows 4 keys whereas I only received 2 keys.

They were a perfect replacement for my old latches and looks great but I notice the key mechanism isnβt the great it feels cheap and you have to insert the key just right to get it to go in takes a few wiggles.
