Adorable highland cows. Each project has its own separate bag of materials, this helps you to determine what amount of wool you have to work with. Instructions are fairly well written, but there is a video on YouTube that is helpful with a link on the instructions. The felting pad is just foam and they give you only to sizes of needles.without being very clear on when to use them correctly. It would help if you already had felting needles and pads so you weren't relying on what solely in the kit. However, if not you can make do. The price of the kits are reasonable and you get what's need. It came quickly and I'd recommend this for trying the craft or a fun evening project. 😀

So cute, but with the limbs and horns, this is not a beginner kit. This kit comes with all the felt you need, but I suggest having more needles on hand. These kits never have enough.The basic body type is very beginner, but adding legs, horns, etc can add a step of difficulty that beginners may find intimidating, and the instructions don't really have any good tips for adding limbs, etc.Cute, a fun set to felt while sitting in front of the tv or something.

Only done one so far, easy to do. I am a first timer and it turned out great. Instructions were easy to follow. Did have to guess on amounts to use, but the picture helped.

These little guys are so cute! I got them for my daughters and myself to do together. My daughters are 12 and 10 and I thought this might be something they could do. When we first sat down to start we didn’t understand what to do at all! We ended up watching some tutorials online and that was a tremendous help! I had also grabbed a couple extra needles and some finger protectors from the craft store. This was something my cousin recommended since she makes these often. They helped a lot! My 12 year old did pretty good with hers at first but about half through she got bored and gave up. I made sure to keep everything of hers together and put it in a bag so she could finish it later. The next day she sat down with me and finished it and she was so excited and so proud of herself! She did an amazing job! My 10 year old has ADHD and she lasted about 5 minutes. She got everything out and then she was done lol. I also have ADHD but with my medicine I can usually enjoy crafts like this. I did enjoy it but it was a little harder than I expected. I had to come back to mine the following day and I was able to finish it. I’m so glad I did because it’s so darn cute. It felt good to finish it and see the completed product. It was fun to make and I definitely plan to buy more of these. Now that I know what I’m doing I think it will be much easier for me and I think I will enjoy it even more. My daughter has already asked when we can make another one.

I have always wanted to try felting. This was a great starter kit for me. It came with absolutely everything I needed to make the three little highland cows. It had easy to follow instructions. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in learning how to do felting or even if you want a fun set to create. I was very happy with this kit.

This is such a fun kit, and I appreciate it comes with finger protection. It's been fun learning the best way to felt the difference pieces.I think the instructions may be best suited for people with experience, but with a bit of videos and analyzing the pictures I was able to make something I'm quite proud of. It's not cover worthy, but it was fun and cute.Came with plenty of each color so if you mess up on a small part, you can try again.I think this kit is a good value

The kit comes with three different bags and instructions, one for each cow, which is helpful. The instructions are a little difficult to follow, but there is also a QR code that is supposed to take you to a video that provides further guidance. I think it might be helpful for the package to include a list of the parts for each kit, because it isn't clear and the steps use different terms for the colors. One one they might call it light brown and a couple of steps later they are referring to the same color as pale cocoa, or something like that. The kit also comes with a lot of needles of varying sizes and a handle. There isn't any indication of whether the different size needles are used for different things, so it's guess work. They also use technical terms without any explanation, so at first I thought there were typos, but then figured out that the wool used has a specific name. This seems like a lot of critique, but really it's just my thoughts on how to make the process easier to follow since this is a beginner kit. Read all of the instructions all the way through before starting, consider pulling apart the wool used for the general base into different sized balls to make sure you have enough for each part and lay everything out and you should be ok. I will say that there is no age indicator on the kit, except for a warning to keep away from children under 3 due to small parts, and the description on the webpage suggests doing this with a child, but I don't think it is actually geared toward a child. There are a lot of small parts, the needles are sharp and the handle is fairly small. Overall the kit requires dexterity and a degree of fine motor skills that I don't think a young child would possess. Maybe a pre-teen who already enjoys other crafts such as origami or crochet would be able to use this, but I think it would really depend on the individual even at that age.

The kits have written/photo instructions and link to video instruction. I haven't started but I am looking forward to making these cute cows.
