Positives:- this set includes two full-length cables, as well as one continuous length of housing. I had enough housing left over after running a full-length rear derailleur housing on a large FS MTB that I can do a second one. Having a second full-length cables means I can do two rear derailleur cable installs with this kit.- it's pretty much got everything you need other than a cutter (unless you get the version that comes with a cutter). I prefer to cut with a Dremel, so it worked great for me.Negatives:- some of the ferrules are plastic, and some are metal. I was surprised that they weren't all metal, considering some of them are- just by the look of the cable, I don't think they are stainless steel. The listing also doesn't say that they are stainless, but this set might not be a good buy if you live in a wet climate or aren't using a full length housing.I ran this cable and housing on my enduro bike today and had zero issues with stretching or anything else weird on the first ride. It's shifting great!

Nice fancy kit. Good smoothness and plenty of gear. It's nice to have all the additional parts like the end caps and ferrules

Used this kit to replace the shifter cable on my 1x12 MTB—shifting is much smoother now. The included cutter made clean, crush-free cuts (see close-up photo). You get two cables, so I’ve got a spare for next time. End caps should help keep dirt out. Great value, especially with the quality tools included.

I probably wouldn't use this on a really high-end mountain or road bike, but for the average bike it's a nice kit and gets the job done. Cables and sleeves are good quality and slide smooth when cabled up.No issues as I've installed new cables many times before so a "no issue" install is very much a good thing. Can it be used on high-end components or bikes? Yes. However, I don't think that's what this kit is intended for. It's for DIY maintenance or a new build that'll save you a decent amount of money if done yourself. Know that you're getting a good working kit regardless.

Such luxury.A finely made cable and cover set. Excellently packaged. Likely too good for my humble rides. If I can’t shift while on the road, it will be due to my lack of mechanical skills and not the fault of these materials.

Pros:Got this to repair one of the break lines that my daughter managed to mangle on her bike. Worked great.Pros:* Solid cables for repair/replacement* End cable protection* Nicely lubricated cable for flexibility and function* Comes with or without the cable cutter, so you can decide if you need the extra tooling or if you have your own available.

I used this kit on a Shimano XT drivetrain to freshen up the bike. The kit came with everything I needed to get the job done and not have to run to the bike store so that's awesome. The cable end fit perfectly in the Shimano shifter and quality feels on par with name brands like Jagwire. Though I couldn't use them in my application, the aluminum cable housing ends that came with it are really nice, but it also came with the standard plastic ends. After riding for 50 miles, I had to readjust the barrel twice to account for the cable and housing settling into their places. You have to do this for any brand cable but the fact that I didn't need to completely re-align my derailleur once it settled in tells me it's quality kit. Very impressed for the value!

See photos. The cable and housings are functional, but a lot of the housing is cosmetically damaged; instead of a smooth glossy finish, a substantial portion of the housing is scraped and gouged. I cut off and discarded about 7" from one end. The rest is fine for a cheap-o bike or an MTB or gravel bike that will get quickly thrashed, but not something I'll put on my nice road bike. The quality makes me think of repackaged product from brand-name manufacturers that got rejected in QC for cosmetics. If that doesn't bother you, go for it. It is nice to get the miscellaneous endcaps and other bits.
