It’s not completely weather-resistant (will be susceptible to driving rain or sprayed water), but certainly keeps the rain and snow out of doorbell within reason. It has a fair size opening to access and press the doorbell button. This doorbell cover is made of transparent one-piece molded plastic with a good thickness, and it appears to be durable.I have a wireless doorbell, therefore it’s easy to install as instructed. If the doorbell is wired, it would require some modifications.Installation is very simple—either using sticky tape or screws to install the cover and install doorbell with sticky tape inside the cover. I decided to use screws using two pre-drilled holes to mount the doorbell and the cover together as shown in the photo. For my installation, I opened my doorbell and drilled one hole to match the two pre-drilled holes on the cover, then mounted with two screws as shown. Of course, this installation method is for me because my wireless doorbell cover is easy to remove as installed from the cover opening in case the battery is to be replace. Anyway, there are some flexibilities to mount the doorbell and the cover. The sticker for the doorbell cover is written in big Chinese letters, but tiny letters in English.Yeah, it works as intended.

I used this cover for our RV smart lock after our old smart lock stopped working due to rain getting into the mechanism. I had to use a rotary tool to make a notch down the back so I could slide it over the lock due to the mounting hardware of the new lock. I finished it up with some silicone sealant and our door is now secure and dry. Hopefully the cover will save us from having to spend another $100 due to water leaks.

I have a door bell out on brick wall we had heavy rain and wind this kept button dry. I did however use dribble tool to open up back for mounting

Back is solid so no slot for the wires to be slid past. Ya have to completely remove the bell to get the wires through the holes. Better design would be to have a slot that the wires can slide through
