It worked on my Rheem water softener, even though it's not noted in the description. It's identical to the Kenmore Water Softeners. I could not find the gaskets for the Rheem, so I gave this a try. The manuals are all the same!

Five years after replacing my old water softener (which worked for 20 years),, the salt container in my newer GE water softener kept filling up with water. After research, I found that I needed to replace this gasket. It was fairly simple to do and it fixed my problem. My previous softener never had this problem However, I never used the solar dried salt in that one. When I took the gasket apart, I found a lot of fine granular salt sitting there. I went back to using the regular salt pellets. Maybe this will prevent the problem in the future.
