I have three mats all a little different, this one has heating coils a bit closer together than the others and seems to distribute the heat really well because of that. It is a good size, the corners are more rounded than my other two which takes away a little space but to be fair the corners of my other two don't have a lot of heat to them so maybe the rounded corners are a design plan. The height of the 'legs' beneath is good enough that it won't scorch your countertop. You can set it for either C or F temperatures. It does a great job of keeping your food warm, we have replaced our restaurant style gas cannister heating racks for these. They have an automatic shut off if you forget about them and they cool down reasonably quickly.Once finished with, simply wipe it down, the silicon cleans easily and when it's dry and completely cool, roll it up and put it back in it's bag for next time.Also aids in defrosting foods on the lower temperatures.

This is my second warming mat - the first one I had heated up only in spots and not very well. When I saw that this mat was “upgraded”, I though5 I’d give it a try. What a difference! It heats up very quickly, and gets very hot. The heat covers the entire mat. The mat is made of silicone (easy to wipe clean) with bared heated wires snaking all across the back. The blue color is true to the product photos, but the graphic on the top is much bolder than appears in the photos. (I personally would prefer it without the graphic.) The controls are simple and intuitive. The power cord is a decent length, but not long enough to reach a dining table without an extension cord. The mat is a nice size for a family dinner or a small party. Rolls up easily for storage.After reading the user guide for this mat, I found a couple of notable points not mentioned (or incorrectly mentioned) in the online product information. You can’t use this mat on top of anything metal (gets too hot) or anything not heat resistant, like carpet, plastic, etc. (could catch fire, despite the little raised feet on the bottom). You can’t put any plastic on top of the mat either (will melt). The mat temperature ranges from 104 to 212 degrees F, with the settings in multiples of 18 degrees (104, 122, 140, etc.)Overall, I’m happy with the performance of this warming mat, despite the many, many “do nots” listed in the user guide!

The mat is much bigger than I thought. I can have 2 9x13 pans and space for sauces. It cools down nicely and wipes clean too. Roll it up and put back in bag. Doesn’t stay on shelf long, I have many needs for the mat. I love the color too. It does not heat up countertop, the peg legs are spaced out to keep your heated surface even. I would definitely buy this again. What I really liked was the heating coils are close together for heat to get to most area of pan to keep food warm.

I wanted to reduce the heat from the oven and wanted the food to keep its heat. This may worked well. I made sure to use shallow containers for better distribution of heat! Like crab dips, etc.
