My washer has a horrible flaw .. it’s this latch. Breaks every few months randomly. I now have a few of these replacements on hand always!

How they allowed these to be put in a washer is beyond me. The piece at it's thinnest point is about 1/16 of an inch. My son came to tell me the washing machine was broken when he found the latch piece laying in the drum. I bought a pair of these and they work fine and are easy to swap out. Very much worth the money.

Exact fit for my Maytag washer. Feels sturdy maybe even more so than the original.

My machine is exactly 1 year old, today I had to replace this latch for the second time. Fortunately I had one on hand so it did not disrupt my heavy laundry schedule. Keep extras handy. I am ordering two more today.

Every once in awhile the clip on my washer lid will break off. I ordered two of these, one to replace the broken one, and a back up. It is easy to install and keeps the lid locked well. I've had this washing machine for three years and have only needed to replace the clip twice.

Repair part #W11091027.It doesn't come with instructions to replace your old lock, but there are videos on YouTube, and it was super easy and fast. It's been installed for 6 months now, two months longer than the original lock held up after purchasing the washer. It's also a great price.

The latch broke on my Maytag washer - the item description includes directions. It would have been super easy to install but something was just slightly off with the round part of it so I couldn’t get it to click in all the way. I ended up popping off the latch/spring part of it and putting it in the original plastic circle part and then it installed just fine. Overall it did the job.

Someone broke this dang thing on my nearly brand-new washer. The actual true Maytag replacement part was $40... I figured I would give this a try. It literally took me all of 10 seconds to swap out and was a perfect fit. You just have to push in and turn the current one counterclockwise until it pops and pull it out, get the new one lined up and turn clockwise so it locks and you are good to go!
