Many other sellers have attached this part number to an ice maker that will not work. Different electrical connector, different water inlet. This is the right part according to Whirlpool!

Made it about 8 months before it quit making the first time. I was able to jumper the circuit and get it going again but at 12 months it won't produce ice and can't override to make it start.

If your refrigerator works well, but the ice maker doesn’t work-buy this now for easy replacement. Pretty good instructions makes for an easy replacement and you have ICE again!!!

Install: super easy. You will need to use the fill bar, cable and bottom cover from the old unit but all were easy to remove from the old unit and add to the new one. I am quite handy so for me the whole install took less than 30 minutes to do. I would guess even a beginner would handle this job in under an hour.Would love to give this 5 stars but the only draw back is that it does make ice at a slower pace than the original one. If someone knows if there is an adjustment that can be made to speed up the process, I'll adjust this to 5 stars. The ice in the pic took about a week to get that full. My old unit did that in 3-4 days.Definitely Recommend

Arrived quicker than the estimate. Packaged well. Complete with all parts. Easy to install. The ice maker works. It took a little time to get to working temperature, so don’t panic if it doesn’t cycle right away. Very happy with my purchase.

Super easy for my husband to install. He referenced YouTube and had no issues. Worked in our Whirlpool fridge like a charm. Unfortunately, the ice maker stopped producing ice after six months. Troubleshooting was complete and it turns out the ice maker no longer has voltage and has essentially conked out.I can’t recommend this product SPECIFICALLY from the seller VNWIDEC.Craft. I have contacted the seller twice and have not received a response.

Install went well . Be careful with the electric chords on your old unit as you will be transferring the wiring as well as the lower mounting bracket to your new unit. You will utilize the original screw as well. I used marine sealant for the screw holes when i was mounting new unit in as well to prevent condensation inside the frame of the fridge .Once installed the unit has to get cold before it starts to make any ice. It start making ice within 2 hrs of the install and has been working great!
