I bought this because it had multiple sized large needles and I was replacing the synthetic fur on an old military issue Arctic jacket. I needed a large needle to get through the extremely thick material. Since receiving it, I replaced the fur lined hood, and have used it several times for minor repairs on other things. It is so inexpensive for what you’re getting. You should have one in your car and one at home for repair emergencies. It comes with very thick gauge thread that won’t break or tear. The needles that it comes with are multiple use and very diverse for different materials and needs. I am probably going to buy another one just because this has been so useful. If you go camping, hiking, or any outdoor sport, have this in your backpack. It would be indispensable for on the fly repairs. If you have kids keep one in your car.!

I have a few things that need heavy duty stitching that a regular needle can't handle. This kit came with all the heavy duty needles, straight and curved. Comes with thick, handmade waxed threading. My favorite accessory is the gold needle pusher ring, comes with two. The ring is sturdy, can easily handle the heavy duty needles and love the ring style, easy to wear and use. Great product.

I use waxed thread for leather work and occasionally around the house. This thread is thinner and less waxed than what I’m used to, but probably fine for most of my needs. The kit included an assortment of good needles, a few other accessories, and a small case that’s convenient to have. I’ll need to buy some thicker thread, but I would buy this kit again if I needed needles or more thread of this thickness.
