I replaced my aging gasoline two stage snowblower with this one because I needed something a little smaller and I needed to get rid of the gasoline and maintenance involved with the gasoline one because my wife can't handle the smell of raw gasoline in the garage. It went together easily and is pretty lightweight. I used it on some three day old, 4 inch deep snow that was also in the process of melting at the edges. It picked it up and blew it pretty well. In the stuff that was still fluffy it threw it around 30 feet!I like that it has a directional chute with a crank handle to change the direction it throws it. It has lights to assist with using it in the dark.It is light enough to carry with one hand and has a handle 9n top to do just that. The only concern I have is how durable it will be. For now I am very happy with it!

I ordered this early last December 2024, but had to wait until mid February 2025 for enough snow to actually use this machine. We had a snowfall of about 5 inches, so since they said it could handle up to 10 inches of snow, I thought this would be a good test of that claim. I made sure the batteries were fully charged the day I used it to make sure it had the power needed to get the job done. I'm a late 60's woman with some health issues, but still good enough to walk behind a snowblower. It took me a few tries to figure out how much I could push forward against the snow without stalling out the machine, but I finally found a certain rhythm that worked. It ran about 20 minutes before it was out of power, which was good for me because I was pretty much out of power too. Though I wasn't finished, I figured on doing so the next day. The machine was at capacity with the 4-5inches of snow we had. Anything more & it would've stalled...stopping completely. It did that a few times, when the snow got a little deeper. I managed to push through those deeper areas by lifting the front of the machine, then backing up & lowering the front down and walk through it normally. Very few times was I able to just slowly walk behind the machine like some of the videos showed. Maybe with a snowfall of less than 4 inches, but not with the amount we got. I have to keep the machine now, as the return window closed before I was able to use it. The things I like about it is that it's lightweight & easy to handle. This was a big selling point for me because hubby can't do the snowblowing anymore. The 2 batteries charged fairly fast, but they were really warm. I don't know if that's significant. I can store the machine on the porch with a tarp over it, making it easier to get to. I store the batteries in the house, as I read that it's better to do so. If you want a snowblower that can handle a snowfall of 3 inches or less, this is a pretty good buy. Having only used it once, I have no idea if it will hold up to our Wisconsin winters for very long. We live in a small town, on a corner lot, with a short driveway in back, so this might be more than it was designed to handle. I did walk around the area before it snowed to make sure there weren't any branches or other obstructions that could damage the machine. Since I knew I was getting a plastic machine, I knew I would have to be as gentle with it as possible. If I thought I could have handled the metal gas-powered one we used to have, I wouldn't have given it away. If you want a serious snowblower, get a metal gas-powered one. This one is good for light-duty stuff.

We got this for my Dad after hearing his many stories of how long he spent each day shoveling. He liked it so much that he asked us to post a 5 star review for this - so that it what we are doing. He likes the strength of it, but mentioned that he really likes how light and maneuverable the item.

Works great, even with only a couple of inches of snow. Easy to handle for a senior citizen, not as heavy as I expected. The battery lasts longer than 30 minutes.

Works fine but the short handle makes it difficult to use! If I were 5’2” it would be great!

Packs a punch!! This a a great machine with lots of power, just wished the batteries lasted longer. Easier than using a powered push shovel!

I was nervous on going battery (snow / water…don’t mix well with electricity… 😀). My fears GONE!. Product well designed / built. Have used twice and 3/4 today, probably. Cleans better than gas two stage, that never started ever since bought 6 years ago. (Why I bought this snow thrower.) It is light weight, has real solid covers over batteries (spring loaded). Residential home, so run time never been problem. Actually when put batteries back in charger only slight discharge…. Today going to do two cleans on one charge and see how it does, but expect will pass w flying colors.

My first blower purchase after extensive research blog and rating reviews. Each snow is different with moisture consistency / fluffy vs. wet. My 3" wet snow was heavy and dense consistency. Voltrex plowed 3.5 two-car driveways + sidewalks on first charge!! Awesome. Recharge 1.50 min on one and 2 hrs on second battery. Don't know why the difference, but acceptable. Quick change chute direction a snap to turn around! All my neighbors were in awe of this workhorse. I seriously can't see it clearing 10" deep and again would have to push it. Remember, you have to PUSH any blower thru the snow. I wish you could turn off the light to save battery, but that's a nit pick. Lightweight to carry & fits thru doorways. Highly recommended Voltrex was least expensive on market. No directions on battery use/charging. I would recommend not leave Lithium battery unattended charging overnight for any electric machine. My wife had so much fun using it, I barely got a chance to use as my wife enjoyed using it -so much fun. No kidding! Upgraded rating 4.5 to 5.
