This is 4th winter, no issues. Switched from using a 100 ft cord to 60 ft. This helped a lot. Too much cord was unwieldy.. Take your time and this little workhorse blows away 8-10”of fluffy snow without a problem. A real back saver.

My 72 yo father uses what he nick names Blue Brute and I know why. Siblings and I pitched in bc mone if us are at home anymore and dont live close by. Hated to picture him shovelling any amount of snow. The recent snow storms that Toronto had in Feb 2025 my father was able to manage fairly easily. No it did not do the compacted end of driveway gift from the plowers but he was able to snowblow the 14 inches plus snow on his double 4 car driveway all alone. He just called it a bit of exercise but he loves his Blue Brute so far. He has had it since last winter and has had no issues. Even the cord doesn't bother him. Anyway sorry to hear of the issues other people have had but so far my father has zero complaints with his unit. Im thinking about buying one now lol

I bought this snow blower 7 years ago (2017), never had an issue, and met my expectations.Straightforward, simple (on/off switch, light, handle, wheels - which is what i wanted), no maintenance, and easy to maneuver. The thrower does not throw far 0-3-feet-ish, you will have to pass it multiple times after about 10cm of snow, and you need an extension chord, but these were what I expected when I bought it, so not an issue for me.

I have a 2 stage honda gas blower at home, but I use it rarely because it's smelly and heavy. I wanted a lighter weight blower I would use and of course electric is a plus for the planet.Today was first use. - 7 inches of semi wet Minnesota snow. It handled it well. Works like a typical single stage where it doesn't throw the snow all that far, and sort of propels itself by scraping the ground when the snow is lighter.Power: Adequate - for the most part was using the whole width and it was keeping up. When the snow is particularly packed it slows down and you have to push it more.Noise: Sounds like a shop vac. I thought it would be quieter. The constant pitch change when not under load to under load was a bit annoying, but quieter than gas. Gas one had a more consistent sound though, so may still wake the neighbors.Corded vs Cordless: Cord was a minor annoyance and not a show stopper. I already had a 100 foot cord and that gets to where I need it to. I built a little reel for the wall so winding it up is a cinch. You just need to plan your route so you aren't constantly running it over.Weight/ergonomics: it's light, and the handle is low. I am tall and would have preferred it to be higher. The crank to turn the blow direction was super low to the ground, which was a little annoying, but not a show stopper either for this price.Verdict:Seems like a keeper. I'm not getting rid of the gas one for huge snowfalls, but this is a good in between tool.UPDATE: Had some really wet snow, and noticed it clogs up at the chute due to a poor design. If the snow is light and fluffy, it works great. But if it's heavy and wet, the chute sort of concentrates it, and because it's shaped like a cone - narrower at the exit - it just creates a big plug that you have to stop and pound out. For the heavy and wet snows - you really need a two stage to chop it up first. This thing just isn't built for that. It's still useful - just not a replacement for the big hog.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND COMPANY!!!EDIT: The replacement snow blower they sent me, the handle broke on the 2nd snowfall using it. Their website shows replacements, but they are out of stock and by the comments it has always been out of stock and tbey all break at the same spot mine broke. If I could give this product -10 stars, I would. I contacted support 48h ago and no reply yet. If at least the parts I need were available, I would buy 2 right now since the other side has noticeable cracks and will break anytime. The part is listed at $9.99... so for a 10 dollar part I can't use my snowblower.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Before i begin, this snowjoe is kept on my front porch, cleaned after every use, and covered with a designated cover. After using it for 4 snow falls, it wouldn't turn, i stopped immediately. I was going to return it then, but decided to open the covers and have a look. The included pictures are from that event .. snow got inside where the belt turns the auger. Snow also got into the other side where electronics are kept... I found abolutely no way the snow got in. I cleaned it out, and it seemed to work again, I SHOULD HAVE RETURNED IT TO AMAZON WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE...3 snow falls later, it jammed again, I opened it up again, cleared out the ice and snow again. This time, half way through the driveway, i got smells of burning electronics. The motor got weaker and stopped all together. I assume the motor controller died.I contacted customer support, they said since the issue was internal, i would have to return it and they would ship me another unit 5 to 10 days after the label they sent me was scanned. This sounded like excellent customer service so i held back any reviews. I received an email stating i would get a replacement march 9th. Perfect. The tracking never worked. On the 16th, the label was printed. What? 7 days after i was supposed to receive it, they printed a label? Still waiting. I contacted them again... Asked what was going on, why this glitch happened. Nothing certain. They would ship another unit. As if they had shipped the first, it had never gone past the shipping label.Today i received a unit, they deliberately cut the box on the side with a utility knife before putting inside another box, to make sure i can not use it to ship my unit again.I still have 2 years of warranty on unit that did not survive 7 snow falls.I have included pictures, I have had enough of this terrible product and if at least the customer service was able to rectify the situation, I would respect the product. Intentionally destroying the box to avoid a further return... Terrible company and product.I have no words... Aside from DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

We live in a snow belt area and get a lot of snow so I have a 9 1/2HP 16 year old gas blower for the heavy deep snow. I bought this electric one for the times when we get less then 10" and I am pleasantly surprised at how much snow it will go through. It can handle some wet snow as long as you don't take a full sweep & can get through snow up to about 8-10" but take your time. It does ride up on the snow with the small wheels but it does blow snow up to 15-20 ft.Winters have been getting milder so my thoughts were to use the electric one as much as possible. It is not powerful enough to dig into what the snow plow puts up at the end of driveway but does a good job on the rest. The biggest concern is handling the heavy duty extension cord and keeping it clear and not curling up.No maintenance and easy to start, noise about the same as a leaf blower.I would recommend this blower but it is electric so don't expect miracles of going through 2 feet of snowUpdate Feb. 2025 - Into my 5th winter of using this blower & it is still doing a SUPER job. This winter we are getting a lot of snow so either myself or my wife are using this machine 4-5 times a week. I have also done our large deck 5 times this winter & due to light weight very easy to get from garage to deck. I am defiantly getting my money's worth from Snow-Joe - See pics attached

Bought it about a two weeks ago and already put it under heavy work. Delivery was astonishing fast, I expected to get it in 3 - 4 weeks but actually got in under 10 days (what was a blessing considering the latest snows we had here in Montréal). My driveway is about 13m X 4,5m, so it's a considerable extension to shovel; my back was asking for a break. After reading so many good reviews I decided to give a try to this blower, mainly because of its really low price comparing to the traditional gas ones. Just for the note I have never had nor used a blower before, not even a regular gas one.Got nearly 30 cm of snow twice and the blower did a really good job as I expected. It's not too heavy so it's easy to push and manoeuvre. It dealt with about 30 cm of snow in no time; more than 30 minutes of manual shoveling were shortened to about 15 (including setting up the extension cord before and arranging it after). This model might be less powerful than a gas one, but I really like its performance and think its great for a small to medium size area.Pros:-Way cheaper than a gas blower and still solid built. And electricity is also cheaper than gas.-Requires no real maintenance as oil, motor or wheels.-Lightwheigt (less than 15kgs), easy to operate/push.-Blows about 30cm deep of snow without problem. Might work with even deeper snow going back and forth.Cons:-Requires an extension cord, which may be messy to deal with during operation and to store after (bought a cord reel to help).-A little noisy (although a gas one might be as noisy - I cannot really compare this).-Single phase only. It throws snow at about 5m at 45º. At 90º its about 3m, 4m at most.-The deflector is tricky to operate. You have to unscrew the lock, use the crank hadle to turn it and then screw again the lock. Not so hard but a bit annoying to reset at every turn.I'm really happy with this product. It might not be as powerful as a gas one but it works really well for my needs. If it lasts at least 3 winters it will have payed itself.I recommend it to anyone looking for a not expensive yet good performance blower.

My husband always used our big manly gasoline-powered snowblower to clear our long, double-wide driveway. Alas, he is no longer here to do that and getting a snowplow truck in this driveway is not a good option. Now, I am actually a little afraid of that gasoline-powered snowblower, never having done it before, not liking the gasoline part, and not being able to maneuver it due to its weight. All my guy friends told me it would be no problem to learn, but I am just not into it.So when I read about the electric Snow Joe, I was rather excited. Reading the other reviews convinced me that I would be able to do this. All my guy friends sneered and jeered, "That thing is a toy! What are you going to do with that!" "Electric?? You'll run over the cord."Ha,ha! I have had the last laugh. We got the first real snowfall of the year with about 8" of sudden wet snow. With mild trepidation, having been slightly scared by all the Tim Taylors around me, I ventured out to use it for the first time. Well, it was sort of like vacuuming a carpet, but different. After I read the instructions (yes, girls DO read the instruction book, a major advantage) I pushed the safety button, held down the handle and off I went. Honestly, this had to be the biggest test I could have given it. The snow was really heavy and so I had to "chew" at it in layers. It worked great! My biggest challenge is that I did not get a long enough power cord to begin with, but I improvised and made it down the 100' driveway much faster than I thought. After I get an additional length, all will be good in the kingdom.Nothing was difficult for my Snow Joe and it took the snow down to pavement. My husband's big old two stage never did that well. I like that it is light-weight and is not hard at all to navigate. And as far as running over the cord? That was never even close to being a problem. I got an cold weather extension cord that remained pliable in the frigid temperatures and I never had to fight with it.My friends had me convinced that I had made a mistake in purchasing this before I tried it. This has taught me that people don't know what they don't know. Trusting the reviews on Amazon helps me to make good decisions. This was one of them.
