Standard Luno vs Max Luno

Standard Luno

The standard Luno is our one-size-fits-most sitting ball chair. Fully inflated, the standard Luno measures 22 to 24 inches and is optimized for desk heights of 29 inches or less. We recommend the standard Luno for customers that are between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet tall, or shorter if you prefer a leaning experience.

Max Luno

Fully inflated, the Max Luno measures 25 to 26 inches and works well for customers that are 6 feet or taller. The Max Luno is optimized for desk heights of 29 inches or taller and will fit most standard desks.

posture

Encourages good posture

While sitting, standing, and walking upright won't give you a bodybuilder's physique, developing the use of these smaller core muscles will enable your body to balance easier in all activities. If you slouch, Luno rolls away giving the user a gentle nudge to practice balance and core muscle engagement.

pregnancy

Perfect for pregnancy

Every Vivora Luno makes for the perfect birthing ball. Sitting, doing figure eights and hip gyrations, and bouncing atop Luno throughout pregnancy can help relieve the associated excruciating back pain. Even just sitting atop luno gently opens the pelvis and hips which can encourage optimal fetal positioning before and during labor.

outdoor

Take it anywhere

Thanks to its lightweight design and convenient carry handle, you can take Luno anywhere. Take it camping, on a picnic, to a concert, over to a friend’s house, or where ever else life takes you!

I've been using various yoga balls as a desk chair for 10 years or so. This is by far the best one. I love the cover material. It has a small lip on the bottom to keep it from rolling away when you're not sitting on it. The addition of the handle on it make it so easy to scoot it closer to my desk. I'm a 6ft - 310lb guy and it's working great for me.

Durable and well worth the money. Been using mine for over a year now.

I really wanted to like this seat. It looks great and appears well made. It has nice features such as some rubber on the bottom of the ball for grip on the floor. Much nicer than my prior fabric covered yoga bar seat. However, the heavy external seams make it uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time (or if wearing shorts) so ultimately this is going back.

Our last exercise ball/chair popped after it rolled over a small rock tracked indoor on our hardwood floor.the cover on this gives it a nice sturdy buffer. I'm definitely being rougher on it because I feel like it can take more abuse hah

Ridiculous… I needed this for work and with tax I paid almost $90 for a rubber ball and a cover which is massive. Ball does not fit. I’m returning and going with a better brand. I’m not waiting another week for the correct cover. Very disappointed.

I really like this ball. It was a bit hard to shove the ball in the cover, and I am a bit concerned if I will be able to find the hole when I need to inflate it. BUT, I have been sitting on it for the past 3 hours and LOVE it. It is comfortable, stable, and FUN, and there is no need for a base. (There are little rubber grippies on the bottom so it doesn't slip out from under me.) The cover is a bit itchy but I would rather that than the plastic feel. I would DEFINITELY recommend this for anyone wanting to replace an office chair. And I am excited to use it for some exercises when I need to take a break.

I’ve used this everyday since purchasing, which feels like ages ago. For real it’s been at least a year and I love this seat. Good quality material that’s durable.

The cover is exactly what I wanted. Something that would protect the ball from getting punctures. I have one unresolved issue. I pump it up to full size. In a day or two it goes down in size and I have to pump it up again. This has happened twice. Maybe it is the ball just expanding and it will settle down. In the mean time I put a dog bed under the ball chair. That gives me the extra height needed and extra protection in case it does burst. Again, the cover is great!

Easy to blow up and to control firmness/softness.

Edit: customer service got back to me quickly. Apparently I had an older model with a ball that was too big for the cover, putting too much pressure on the seams and zipper. They've offered to replace it for me, so I bumped it up to 4 stars for now. We'll see how the new one works out!Original review:I've had this medicine ball for a little over a year now. I liked the way it was designed, that ring around the bottom helps its stay upright when you're not on it, but isn't so big that it impedes movement when you are sitting on it. I tend to bounce a little and move around to keep my lower back lose. In that regard, this chair has been a great help for me.Inflating it can be tricky. They do have a video on their website that will walk you through it, but it could certainly stand to be a little more concise, it's quite long. The real reason I came here to review was that the zipper failed this morning. The mechanism departed the zipper in dramatic fashion, shooting across the room, and the zipper itself ripped apart. It seems like it could afford to be a little stronger. A user bouncing gently on the ball throughout the day should definitely be taken into consideration, it's the whole reason why this ball is good for your back. We'll see what customer service says...

Easy to inflate, looks great and I’ve already started to notice an improvement in my back.I was worried about the ball rolling about my workplace but the cover does a really good job of keeping it stable.

I ordered the Max size sitting ball based on my desk being set at a height of 30.5. After I pumped it up I realized it was too large for me to sit on correctly (5'6). I emailed the company to see if they'd accept a return and they got back to me same day and offered to let me keep it and even shipped out the smaller size at no cost. They were super quick and friendly and immediately addressed my concern.I've had the ball now for about a month and still love it. I overpumped it a little bit but it seems to have lost a tiny amount of air and is now the perfect amount of squishy and doesn't seem to be continuing to deflate. The fabric is a nice quality and the color matches my office which makes it more professional looking. I would and have recommended it to my coworkers, it does an excellent job of getting you to think about posture and movement throughout the day.

I bought this to use at my desk at work. My knee is injured and when I use a normal chair it stays in the same position too long and gets stiff and painful. I decided to try a high-quality ball chair as an alternative and chose the Vivora Luno because it was attractive and rated highly.I've been very happy with this item. It's comfortable, it keeps my knee and the rest of of my body in enough motion to keep me from getting stiff, and it's got an attractive cover and has received plenty of positive comments from my office-mates. The dark grey felt cover is very durable and looks classy, so it doesn't come across as a toy or a cheap exercise ball. The only (minor) issue has been that the zipper will not remain closed with the ball fully inflated when I sit on it. This is no big deal and hasn't impacted the ball's performance in any way.The pump included with the ball was not something I was able to use to inflate the ball to full firmness, but I'm not lowering my rating because this may be as much about me not having the inflation technique down for this style of pump. I ended up using a foot-pump and that did fine. I pump in some more air to firm it back up once every 2 weeks or so.
