Excellent pump. Plenty of air to function my DWC hydroponic system. I love it. Would be 5 stars but I had to make a deduction because it's a little noisy.

This is a large pump I don’t so I did not expect it to be quiet. Plus my aquarium is mounted in a wall and serviced from another room. I was wrong this thing sounds like and air compressor to air up tires. If I could give it less than one star I would. It’s so loud it’s unusable. Horrible product. Save your money what a waste! I wish the video preserved audio so you could hear it.

Very Good, got this for outside fish pond to add more air in hot summer, its not super quiet but puts out alot of air , adding more air into and fish tank or pond is always a good thing , especially in hot hot weather days ( I had another brand buy the same design, and it lasted like 3-4 years running 24/7 outside in the hot hot CA summer, so get a backup )

Love the power of the pump but is a bit noisy.

I used it outdoors since it runs quite loud even with it sitting on a towel to buffer the vibration some. it does run a little hot if all valves are not open at the same time.

The VIVOHOME Electromagnetic Commercial Air Pump, with its range of 20W-102W and output of 317/950/1110/1750 GPH, is a robust piece of equipment designed for substantial aeration needs. It's clear that this pump is built to handle the demands of an outdoor koi pond, providing the necessary oxygen levels to maintain a healthy environment for aquatic life. However, it's important to note that this strength comes with a significant downside: **noise levels**. As echoed by other users, the noise produced by this pump is considerable. For those considering this pump for indoor use, it's advisable to reconsider unless you have a separate space like a fish store where the noise won't be a disturbance. Placing this pump in a living area or any space where peace and quiet are valued would not be ideal. In summary, while the VIVOHOME Air Pump excels in outdoor settings, its indoor application is limited by its noise output. It's a specialized tool that performs well in the right environment but could be a source of discomfort in quieter, residential spaces.

Noise level I give five stars, value for the money spent again I give 5 stars, for suction power I give. Suction Power!Suction power? It's not used for it's suction. It's function is to blow air for aeration and for me the air I use keeps my hydro nutrient solution tank mixed. The pump's a stud ! So I give 5 stars for suction power as the air volume produced to blow air, is relative to the air intake's volume obtained by pump's intake suction. Not loud, but it does vibrate, therefore how you mount determines the noise level(air suspend for quiet level).I run it constantly, and never has pump housing been hot to touch. Pump housing while in continuous use slightly warm at touch. To succeed at finding a air pump that can run continually at keeping the hydro nutrient solution stirred and mixed. Comparing performance and air volume numbers produced by this pump any pump at lower air volume numbers won't be worth the money you spend. They eventually fail , their loud, they get louder, they run hot , and made of cheap materials. It turns out to be that situation where you end up eventually purchasing this level of pump. But not until you had thrown away moneys on the low price pumps. You get what you pay for"

For the money, you're getting a power plant. I've read reviews on this pump saying that it gets really hot, and it does get mildly hot but it will not get burning hot like others make it seem like ( i currently only have 2 sponge filters connected to it). The air flow is crazy, only problem i have is when only one valve is fully open you get air pulsing (which can be solved by closing the valve a little), since i have 2 valves open now i don't have that issue. the pump is pretty loud (not really a problem if you're using it in a fish tank room or outside) The description says its under 60 decibels which it is in fact under 60 decibels. im planning on putting the pump outside and buying a hose the same size it comes with but longer so i can reach my tanks without air flow/pressure loss. would not recommend using it in your living room or bedroom due to the noise. Overall a great pump, especially when you factor in the price. i would defiantly recommend if you have multiple 30 gallon+ tanks. i personally have a 75 gallon and 3 30 gallon tanks, so the pump is a little overkill for me but i have no shortage of air!

The specs say noise is "It is also hot.... It's usually around 130-140*F in open air. This isn't necessarily bad (I've only had it for a few weeks, so not sure about longevity with that king of heat, but... no problems yet), but yes its too hot to grab with your hand (>120*F can cause burns), and you definitely cannot put this inside an enclosed space with no airflow. If you have heat problems with your tank already, this is going to pump 110+ degree air into your tank, so keep that in mind. You can get a coil of 3/8" copper tubing from the hardware store, and put that inline between the pump and your air manifold to remove some of the heat from the air stream, if needed.Aside from that, it puts out a TON of air and maintains good pressure even with higher flow rate. It seems to have some trouble (and gets even hotter) if you dead-head it by more than 50%, so if you only have one or two small air stones, this is not the pump for you.If you need a LOT of air flow and some good head pressure, this is a great little pump for the price.
