Reasonably priced!! I have used this product when electricity is out, also when moving, I have brought my clown fishes from port Richey Florida to Arkansas, then from Arkansas to Jacksonville, then from Jacksonville to St.Augustine … winner of a product my clowns are happy at there new homes 😊

This little pump let me keep my 13.5 gallon saltwater tank aerated for over 14 hours when we lost power due to a storm. Two new D batteries kept this pump chugging along all night. It’s definitely not quiet, but noise was not one of my concerns as I worked to keep my aquariums oxygenated during the outage. Are there better or more efficient battery operated air pumps on the market? Maybe. But for $10 I was very happy with how this pump worked out.

I originally bought a few of these to help me on a move 700 mile move. They worked perfect and kept my fish alive. I have since had to bring them out when the power goes out due to bad weather here now and again they work flawlessly. My only complaint really is that they are loud; much louder than a normal air pump in fact.

I bought this battery operated air pump as a backup for my aquariums. I have two of these and the airflow is good. Lots of bubbles. It is a good quality product. The only thing negative comment I have is it’s a little louder, but still gets the job done. I have them on a 29 and 40 gallon tanks when needed.

I needed an emergency fix because I lost power during Hurricane Helene and my fish were in jeopardy. I ordered on line via Amazon.com because I wasn't certain it would be available locally since many stores were without power. It really works great, my fish immediately went to the bubbles that it was creating. My only problem was that it needs 2 D-cell batteries and they do not last long, that would be a welcome change but this little pump does its job very well.

I write this as a warning not to rely on this product to keep you fish alive. I had tested it out a for several hours upon receiving ( brand new) only a month before and it worked it was just really loud oh well no biggie because it was for emergencies only. But when the power went out I went to use it and no air at all was coming out! I tried changing out batteries, looking for the problem but the same result loud with NO AIR!!! I can honestly say there was no reason for this to fail as I had stored it properly and safely for an emergency. Thank God I had just invested in a USB rechargeable air pump for $19 that lasted the entire 9hr power outage at only 3/4 power and an APC backup power supply that kept my 10 gallon quarantine tank safe and a brand new unopened $77 I had never used! I am a new fish hobbiest and recently started keeping African Cichlids in which I have invested a lot of time and money into. Needless to say it was not a good situation especially when my 2 new cichlids arrived the exact time the power went out so talk about panic mode! I wish that situation on nobody so I hope this helps at least one person avoid what I went through just yesterday actually.

I ordered 4 of these to get my 4 medium sized goldfish from my old apartment to my new house. I bought a blue 5g bucket with a lid from Lowe's. One pump was enough for the job, but I'm happy to have extras on hand. One stone puts out an impressive spread of bubbles, and the batteries in the pump last all day. Operation is simple, and the clip on the pump made it possible for me to attach it to the side of the bucket for easy transport. If you use a bucket like me I would suggest drilling a hole through the top of the lid for the air tube to run through, and clip the pump to the bucket handle or attach it in some other way.The noise is as expected. Most air pumps are fairly loud by nature and this is no different. For my purpose I didn't care, but if you need a quiet unit I recommend you look elsewhere.Someone answered a question saying that these can be used as a primary aquarium air pump because they can be plugged into the wall and then the batteries will only kick on if the power shuts off. That sounds too good to be true, and it is. There is no way to connect the pump to an external power source, so these pumps are ONLY battery powered.
