Compact manual chain hoist from VIVOHOME, rated for 1100 lbs and suited for garages or small shops. It works as intended, lifting loads up to 10 ft with a double-pawl brake system for control. However, the construction feels thin and cheap for the claimed weight rating, raising doubts about long-term durability. The G80 manganese steel chain’s finish was subpar - straight out of the box, it had a rough, powdery texture, possibly corroded or damaged, which impacts smoothness through the hoist and detracts from its appearance. The price is reasonable, but a better chain finish should be expected. It may suffice for light tasks if the finish is undamaged, though quality concerns persist.

If you're looking for a decent hoist that's a really good value for money, this is a good option. I've got this set up in my garage for lifting things into the bed of my truck or the back of my trailer and it's working great. Easy to use and so far has held up and saved my back on a number of occasions. While I haven't tried to lift anything close to the max weight, many times I've had it lifting over 250lbs, and it handled the weight fine. Works well for my needs!

I’m no expert of chain hoist by any means. But this one fits the bill for what I need just fine. I’ve used it to hoist the 12 volt batteries out of my golf cart and It had no problems lift them out. Over all the chain is is pretty greasy so expect your hands to get dirty when using. I recommend wearing gloves. I’m assuming all chain hoist come this way. For the price of your in the market to buy a chain hoist for around the home I feel this is a good product. I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy industrial uses but for the occasional times you need to pick up something heavy around the home or shop, this one will do.

Full disclosure: I received this item through Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, whether positive or negative. This appears to be a good hoist which is idea for someone who doesn't need to use it constantly. It will be great for occasional use. If you are going to use it ever day or multiple times a week, you might want to look at something in a higher price range. For most people, this will be a good hoist though. The load bearing chain seems to be a good quality, but the chain you pull up and down on has some issues. A number of the links were not fully or properly closed, let alone welded. Half the stuff I buy these days comes with a pair of gloves. This is the first tool that needs it as the chains were absolutely filthy.Don't let any part of this get against you or it will get grease and/or dirt on your cloths. These are definitely not the chain hoist you want in any sort of clean manufacturing area or your will ruin a lot of product. I understand applying rust proofing for shipping, but this goes way beyond that. I'm a woodworker and my hands don't get dirty, just dusty. This is going to be a huge pain to clean before I can use it. Once this grease get on the wood, it can ruin the finish when you apply it. On the other hand, if you're a mechanic, you may not have an issue with how dirty it arrives.

This chain hoist is a mixed bag. I gave it a test by picking up a couple light duty beams. Although it did ultimately to its job, I would use this for occasional use - or light duty. The housing is pretty thin, and wouldn't stand getting tossed in and out of a work truck on a daily basis. It would be best suited for an overhead I-Beam trolly in a conex, or shed. This is an endless loop hoist - not a handled come along. Its best purpose in life is to hang from a trolly beam, or something similar. It needs to be installed in a vertical position to have a smooth operation. The chain is hardened, and it appears to be decent quality. I have no doubt the chain will hold its rated weight. The hoist itself, I wouldn't have a lot of faith in. The pull action is smooth enough, it rolled without issues.

This chain hoist gets the job done. I used it for lifting some heavy equipment in the garage, and it handled 1100 lbs like a champ. The G80 manganese steel chain feels tough, and the manual operation is smooth and easy to control. It’s compact but sturdy, perfect for small shops or occasional heavy lifting.
