This electric portable hoist is great for my at home shop. This allows me to utilize different areas within the shop to use it since it's portable and not a permanent mount. The controller is easy to use, the hooks are well made and heavy duty steel, and the load capacity is definitely within the range that it states it should hold. I would recommend this to anyone needing to consistently lift heavier items in order to maintain safety.

The hoist came pretty well packaged. The remote did not have a battery but that was easily fixed (required a small 12v, A23, battery). Used it to remove a large beam from my church's gym and the 120v gave it plenty of power. The remote switch allowed me to safely lower the beam and bring it down with a guide rope. Worked amazingly well and would definitely put it through some more work in the future.

I believe it is too cheaply made. The gears inside seem to be going bad. Every time you pickup something that only weighs 150lbs. It skips 1-2gears and if it was any heavier it will cause my product to fall and get damaged.I do not recommend it because it can cause an accident.I have not sent it back because I keep forgetting to send it back but I will before the month of December is over.

I got this to use in my shop to help me load equipment in my service truck. It's not huge capacity but is easier to use than just a chain hoist. This comes with a remote although mine didn't have a battery. It's not a standard battery but a fairly common one that my local hardware store had. The hoist operates smoothly. The hooks have flip levers that keep them from falling off whatever you clip them through. Not sure why these Chinese companies include the little knit gloves that are too small for most adults. The hoist has buttons on it to use without the remote. If you have this hanging from a rafter or ceiling the remote is very handy. Also lets you stabilize the load while using the remote in your other hand. This doesn't have a huge lifting capacity at 1100lbs. I've done around 5-600 lb pallets and it worked fine. The motor has an overload if it gets too hot. Overall I find this useful for what I needed. Just be sure you're within the weight rating and whatever you have it hanging from can also support that weight.
