I read the reviews, and I want to address a few things. The installation actually took a lot longer for me, because I had to think, imagine, and plan how I want to set it up. (More on this later.) Once you get the Left and Rights parts right, the actual installation was not hard. Some mentioned the screws being short. True. But it's short to offer a flush appearance on both sides. Do I wish they are longer? Yes. When you do screw it in, IMO, you only have "one chance." I noticed there was a tiny bit of blue material in the threads. It's like dry threadlocker (Loctite). If you have to unscrew it, to adjust it, then the threadlocker is now "broken." I think that is the reason why some of the screws will loosen with time. How do I know this? I had to take it apart to adjust the height. As I was removing the screws, that's where I saw the blue threadlocker. I did add my own Loctite to those screws, so I hope they will hold. Another thing is to add some grease to the ball bearing. I think some reviewers say they need two hands to slide it out eventually. With some grease, the tray will slide in and out much easier. Overall, 5 stars. The most important thing is the Tray is one piece. I can't imagine it being two pieces join together. IMO, that is an important part between this one and other keyboard trays that are a bit cheaper.

While this is sturdy an looks well made it almost looks industrial, chunky, bulky. The slider mechanism could be better seem to be cheap an can be stiff.Be aware that the clamps almost add 5 cm to each side which makes it longer then you think .I also fond my desk is 76cm high ( average hight for a desk ) and once I'd clamped it to my desk I did not need the extra bits to drop it down

This is the second VIVO under desk keyboard I've purchased.I purchased the non-expanded height model in 2022. This newer carbon fiber model (purchased in 2024) with LED accent lights (which I don't use) with expanded height adjustment possibilities is much better! It comes in a really big box because the keyboard tray is one big piece. It is very sturdy.I am super happy with this keyboard tray. It has added to my happiness with working at my standing desk. Please know about these two items that I missed taking into account before I made this purchase:1. Check the measurements of anything you will keep on your desktop. I have a very nice leather pad that sits on my desktop. It creates a comfortable surface for writing a resting my hands on - better than just wood. Before installing this keyboard tray I used to keep the desk pad flush against the front edge of the desk. My desk pad is about 5cm too wide. I can't keep it flush against the front edge of my desk anymore because the desk mount clamps of the keyboard tray prevent this. This is **not** a flaw with the keyboard tray. I only bring this up so that you take it into account when you make your purchase.2. If you buy the carbon fiber model, you **MUST** use a mouse pad.I haven't used a mouse pad since mice moved from a physical ball to a light sensor ...maybe 20 years ago?Well, the carbon fiber causes the light to 'skip' as it goes over the mesh of the carbon fiber weave of the keyboard tray. This is **not** a flaw of the keyboard tray - it's a problem with how mice work these days. This is why the product images from VIVO show a mouse pad on top of the keyboard tray. You have been warned. :)

Happy with the quality and price point of this keyboard tray. Large enough for my full-sized keyboard and mouse, and much sturdier than anticipated for a tray that doesn't require a permanent mounting system. The clamps are wide and very sturdy and allowed me to move my keyboard tray right-to-left to ensure the proper placement after it was already assembled - this would not have been an option if I'd had to permanently affix it underneath my desktop.I paired this tray with the VIVO standing desk frame, and because of the mounting clamps, had no issues with clearance or interference with the desk frame itself. Would recommend these two as a matched pair for anyone looking to upgrade their workstation.

This product has significantly improved my posture and quality of life. The product itself is very easy to put together aided by watching the "How To" video on the product page. The paper instructions are bit hard to follow and the screws are very similar in size, so when putting it together, attention to detail would help. The tray itself is very sturdy and does not move once in place. I built my desk wrong and it rocks back and forth, when I push down on the tray, there was no creaking and it was strong enough to pull my desk down with it. It slides easily in and out, though I would recommend doing a clamp height test before putting it all together as adjusting the height can be a bit of a pain.I wish I had purchased this a LONG time ago. It's a good alternative if you don't want to drill extra holes into the underside of your desk and don't mind forgoing the option of tilt adjusting the tray.

Tray assembly was fairly straightforward - be aware, though, that like other reviewers have said, the screws that connect the clamp assembly to the adjustable metal risers are a bit too short in my opinion. It's difficult to get them tight enough as there's not enough thread. Like other reviewers, I think the M5x8 screws should have been M5x10 - there's no reason i can think of where the longer screws would interfere with anything.Beyond that, the unit seems quite sturdy, any improvement over the previous one I had used for a number of years. There's actually less wiggle than the one it replaced and the brackets and clamps are more heavy duty. I like the ability to adjust the height (or drop) of the tray and it doesn't seem to affect the stability.Aside from the length the one set of screws for assembly, the only other negative I've found so far is that the keyboard slides around too easily. It would be nice if the surface wasn't as smooth or that some sort of keyboard pad were included, ala shelf lining material. I'm planning to cut something to size and try that. Another option would be to have an adjustable "stop" instead of the back edge plate, which works but the keyboard is too far back on the tray to be useful at that point.I would have rated the tray 5 stars if the one group of assembly screws was a bit longer and there was some means of controlling keyboard slippage.

It is very easy to install. Took me only 10 mins. But the edge of the keyboard tray below is pretty sharp, so you may cut your thigh accidentally when you shift your leg. So have to be careful.
