High quality materials, could probably hold a lot more than the rated 11 pounds on a solid wood tabletop

My desk has a center brace so I was looking for a shelf that would work with that constraint. I was skeptical but this works probably better than most 4 post mounts. It is solid and works smoothly. I have bee using it for several months now and it will probably outlast the desk. Very happy with it and it was a great value.

PROS=+Good price+Nice finish on the actual shelf, although some may dislike the low friction+Matching black colors on all partsCONS=-All included screws are UNLABELED. You can do your best to figure out which screws the instructions are telling you to use if you go by the quantity and overall length, and round head vs. flat head... but... come on. In this day and age, letter or number stickers are NOT going to eat into your profit margins significantly enough to warrant their absence.-The backstop of the keyboard tray is flimsy PLASTIC and has space for a central screw that doesn't line up anywhere on the board, so there are 3 holes in the backstop but only 2 holes where you can attach it? Why? If you wanted to drill your own hole in the space for it, it'd split the two boards making the shelf because they meet in the middle.-THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY INSTRUCT YOU TO BUILD THE SHELF IS SO EXTREMELY STUPID. If you actually follow the instruction pamphlet order of operations, I can all but guarantee you'd need an extra set of hands or some specialized or inspired jerry-rigged assistance. They want you to FULLY BUILD THE SHELF AND THE BRACKETS, then attach the whole thing all at once. What? What kind of idiocy is that? Unless you're part of the vast few that are literally installing the shelf BEFORE you have your desk assembled, you're going to be attaching this to a desk that's already standing- meaning the holes you need to mark and pre-drill are going to be going up rather than down. That by itself is whatever, but these instructions would have you screw the shelf in fully built. There are 3 screws per bracket, and the whole thing weighs probably about 10 lbs. All in all, not super heavy, but when you're holding the edge of the desk shelf, by just the edge to attach one bracket your arm is gonna tire out fast. I was on my back, even using my knees to hold the other end of the board, when I finished attaching one end of the shelf for the horrible realization ofHOWFREAKINGCHEAPThis company is.This desk tray comes with a paper map with the spacing of the mounting brackets cut out on it. So, you're supposed to use this piece of paper to decide where you want to attach the desk, mark where the holes are, and then pre-drill there.THIS MAP ISN'T EVEN THE PROPER WIDTH OF THE FREAKING DESK TRAY. IT'S OFF. Maybe by just a millimeter or two, but enough that you WILL NOT be able to attach the desk without extra elbow grease compressing the metal brackets inwards. Now, you might argue 'But that internal pressure is going to keep the shelf secure and extra stable!' But, as you've already seen from other reviews, the drawer slides on this shelf are also pretty garbage. One of the reasons this thing doesn't pull out very well is absolutely exacerbated by the fact the guided drill holes are too cramped- this causes too much friction on the ball bearings and they don't roll as they should.BUT WAIT! IT GETS WORSE! There's the main mounting bracket that attaches to the underside of your desk, and then a second metal plate that attaches from THAT bracket, onto the drawer slides. The screws they give you give absolutely NO leeway- there are two different diameter holes in play. (Why? I'd literally have been able to make this drawer actually perform how I need it to if they simply had all the holes the same diameter, and used the same screws everywhere.) As such, the smallest screws can only be used for two holes in the brackets that have a sunken hole, because THE DEPTH OF THE SCREW WON'T REACH OTHERWISE. THAT'S THE ONLY REASON. Like, literally, why? Just have a longer screw? Maybe your shelf could hold more weight if the entire thing wasn't being held up by four flimsy screws that only screw in perhaps a few millimeters into the slides? Getting screws into proper tightness also shows the poor quality of the screws, because anything more than gentle hand pressure WITH A SCREWDRIVER YOU MUST PROVIDE YOURSELF BY THE WAY, runs the risk of stripping the phillips head cross on the screws. If you don't need to drastically adjust the height of the tray, the second attachment bracket literally just adds useless weight and internal width to the space holding the tray, which also compounds the compression put on the ball bearings of the drawer slides- as such I'm tempted to remove them entirely. Doing so helps counteract the fact the guided anchor holes are too close together. So, save yourself the trouble of dealing with ALL THE ABOVE issues while holding 10 lbs leveraged across almost 2.5 feet by following their instructions, and just install the mounting brackets BY THEMSELVES, and then attach the shelf to the brackets. It's much easier.FINAL THOUGHTS- An absolute disappointment and a reminder that you get what you pay for. I WILL be able to make this desk tray work for me, how I need it to, but the amount of effort, time, or extra money that it will take make this purchase ultimately foolish. It only gets 3 stars, because, it is, technically, a functioning shelf. Knocking 2 stars off for the huge design flaws in both the product and the user experience feels more than fair to me.It's garbage, that makes you wonder if it was designed by desk monkeys who never tried their product before launching, but I can fix all the shortcomings with a bit of 3D printing to get the proper shaped brackets that I can attach to the main anchor brackets, that will allow me to have the shelf at the height I want, and to provide the pull out depth I require. And, I might get some new slides for this thing. They really are awful. If nothing about this story dissuades you, then by all means, enjoy. :)

This is a much needed upgrade to the keyboard tray that I used to have. It was pretty easy to install and is very sturdy.

Nice keyboard tray and sturdy. Only complaint is that it doesn’t slide in and out smoothly. (Have not tried putting any lubricant on it beyond what it came with stock but may try that. )

Easy to put together and solid. The size is great as it fits my keyboard and mouse. With only two mounting brackets it works with my desk as it has a support bar. Good value for the price

The drawer itself is really nice but the screws that come with it are of very poor quality and strip super easy.

Its nice and sturdy and very versatile. However its a little small it could have a little more depth. And maybe some way to keep your keyboard from sliding all around would be nice.
