This under-desk keyboard tray is sturdy, easy to install, and provides a strong grip on the desk without any wobbling. The included template makes installation straightforward, though it’s important to mount it straight to ensure smooth height adjustments. The 12-step locking system is simple to use, but I wish it had a tactile click to confirm even positioning on both sides. The tray size is good for everyday use, but I personally wanted more space, so I modified it by mounting a wider plank of wood. It has held up well with my keyboard, mouse, and small accessories without any issues. If you’re looking for a reliable under-desk tray with good adjustability, this is a great choice. Highly recommended for work and gaming setups!

I paired this keyboard tray with a standing desk and the results were quite nice. I really like how the instead of sliding out the tray, it pivots so that way there is a lot more space between the tray and the underside of the desk. I have an ergonomic mouse and this extra space is essential so that the mouse fits.I've experimented with the various positions and found that having the tray be at its lowest point was the best. It feels the most sturdy in this position and gives me all the space I need to type and use my mouse. Having a standing desk is a must here as adjusting the height of the desk will ensure the keyboard is in the optimal position for ergonomics. You will have an obscured view of the keyboard though so you should be comfortable using the keyboard without looking at it in order to use it in this position.

Installing any under-desk keyboard tray is going to be a hassle, but Vivo has included a very nice template so you can pre-drill the screw holes by just taping the paper template under the desk. The whole unit goes together nicely with a great fit, and the moving mechanisms don't feel too cheaply made. There are two levers on the inside that you depress with your thumbs to unlock it to slide it in or out. You can't really use it anywere except all the way in or all the way out, because it drops down as it moves, which is a little inconvenient making it too low to be useful. But despite that I'd still give it five stars because it works so well and they paid attention to the details trying to make it easier to install. You should expect to need to pre-drill the underside of your desk to get the screws in, no matter which unit you buy.

good addition, especially if the desk is used not only for typing. Allows my shoulders to relax more during long working hours

Purchased in Nov 2023 - tossed it after barely 4 months.I hope the manufacturer reads this, because they are so close to making good products but have a huge miss on the most critical parts... they cheap out on the hardware with moving parts e.g. the undermount hinge on this one and draw slides on one that I recently purchased and am returning. The undermount swing up type purchased Nov 2023, a couple of weeks ago one of the hinge stop points no longer held. So the tray was a notch too low and wiggled all over the place, I couldn't find a fix so I tossed it after barely 4 months.Without realizing it I purchased the draw slide type made by the same company - Vivo. The draw slide ball bearings are about as cheap as it gets. Sticks, wont push evenly, something is stuck someplace so there's an annoying click at one spot in the slide... ok, I'm sorry but I'm a bit OCD when it comes to stuff like this. But it had such a cheap feel I could tell that there was no way this was going to last even 4 months. What's a shame is the rest of the unit was great. Board was solid, manufacturing was/is well done, all other hardware was solid, all the predrilled holes line up perfect with the hardware, extra screws of each type, and additional types of screws for different installations, it was well packaged, directions were not so hot but they have a great video on the amazon page that was really helpful. If the manf is reading this, you got so many things right. But your choices of moving parts hardware is absolutely unacceptable. I tossed a 50 dollar board in the trash after 4 months because of defective moving parts and am returning a second 50 dollar board for the same reason.VIVO - you guys are a US based company, which I applaud, and the other items on your Amazon page and website look awesome. But after not one but two failed attempts I can't say I'd trust any further purchases. Every product on your site 'moves' in some way, which means there must be movable hardware involved, which to me then has a high likelihood of failure, or at least not working or having the feel of something well made.As said, I'm slightly OCD when it comes to hardware. I build things for a living so am sensitive to this stuff. If you want a field tester who's objective and a little nuts, feel free to reach out. I recently acquired an electric "Vari-desk" standing desk. I noticed your price point for similar desks is a lot lower than theirs. I bet I know why and I bet the extra money it cost was well spent. Not recommended until hardware improvements are noted by the manufacturer.

I have only been using it for a day but my first impressions are that it is sturdy, looks good, and does the job flawlessly. It is very easy and smooth to adjust the tray height and front to back distance, although it does require 2 hands which is a disadvantage over the style that just slides in and out. It was very easy to assemble and reasonably easy to install (drilling holes in desk and hand screwing to secure it was the most difficult part but it was fine.) In the questions section, I asked how far it comes down from the bottom of the desk when stowed. Several people answered 2 and 1/4 inches. After installing it, I find that answer misleading/incomplete. When it is all the way back, it can be tilted so the front of the tray is 2.25 inches (or less) from the bottom of the desk but in tilting it, the back of the tray goes 7" or more down (see photo). I asked the question because I wanted to know for purposes of leg room and being able to push a chair with arms under the desk so I can scoot up to it and work on the desk surface when I am not primarily working with the keyboard. A better answer is that when the tray is stowed, the distance from the bottom of the desk to the bottom of the tray is 5.25" (and maybe a little less if you don't mind the weight of the tray on your legs). That is with the tray almost flat, but like I said you can tilt it so the front of the tray goes up to 2.25 and the back to 7". (see photo) I would have docked a star or more for this not being explained anywhere but the 5.25" is still in an acceptable range for me and I am glad that this quality of keyboard tray is available at reasonable price (I got it on sale for $50). I don't expect it to last forever but the ratio of quality and price is good. If it does not last at least a few years I will come back and lower my rating but I don't expect that to happen.

Unlike the sliding shelf that I had on a previous desk, this keyboard undershelf uses a pair of pivoting arms that seem to work much better. The front of the desk needed a bit of surgery because it had a deep rim - but 5 minutes with a jigsaw fixed that. It is a well-finished and solid structure that offers ample room for a large keyboard and mouse and frees up the desk. I leave it out most of the time but it easily hinges back under the desk if required.
