This is an quick fix to problem roof exhaust pipe. Our winters bring alot of snow so we have a metal roofing. The hope is that the snow will slide.Problem is its slides fast and furious and can take the pipes off your roof. One of our pipes broke and feel off the roof. We installed this roof jack that fit between the ribs on the tin.It has an excellent gasket between the roof and the jack. With a razor knife you cute a pre-marked circle a size smaller than the pipe, put your pipe in and now it can bend instead of break.

As described. Super good value for what I was looking for: woodstove install in a motorhome. My local farm & ranch supply is way overpriced on everything, especially woodstove items. This will work perfectly with consideration given to clearances & wall thickness. I'll give it 5 stars for price & an honest description.

My photos will add nothing to this (cannot go on the roof just yet). But a couple of things to know. This entire boot feels rather lightweight to me. The aluminum border at the bottom bends very easily (though it also bends back just as easily. Other boots I've seen have a large aluminum flange. I suppose this flange, even though it is a bit narrow will be fine if you are installing before the shingles and you use some type of sealant. The red silicone boot is also pretty thin - but that may in fact be sufficient if it is designed to stand up to the elements and heat for years. Right now, I cannot say that this will last that long. Be aware that, as the Seller shows, you have to cut this boot to fit the pipe. I would not suggest cutting a circle out. Instead, cut just an X then place the boot over the pipe that protrudes from the roof. This way the silicone will snugly fit around he pipe. Using a sealant is also advisable.Note: I would not suggest using this boot on top of a shingled roof. This is made to be installed and then covered over with shingles.
