Horrible product. Buy all metal parts that don't fail

I got this to replace the roof seal around my woodstove chimney double wall pipe. The silicone is thick but pliable, and easy to trim. Even in freezing temperatures, it was easy to slide around the pipe and the metal flashing ring is easy to bend and spreads the force from the screws securing it down. This is priced about half of what the local hardware store charges, and seems like an identical product. Would definitely recommend.

This Benfar 1 Pack #7 High Temp Roof Pipe Boot was just what we needed to vent a wood burning heater out the roof of one of our shops. We have 8” pipe venting this stove, so I trimmed the boot using the marked size lines. The boot cut easily with a pair of sharp scissors. I installed the boot with sheet metal screws with rubber washers after running a bead of silicone sealant around the base. This boot installed easily and was flexible enough to fit tight to the contour of the 5V metal ribs. The flashing metal is aluminum and the rubber is very pliable even though it was almost freezing on the day we installed it. We’ve had a week of rainy weather since installing this boot and have found no leaks. The description and photos are accurately described.

The boot seems well made and is very flexible. The only thing that is a bit concerning is it is so flexible that I am a little worried about durability in the wind and elements. Other pipe boots we have used are far stiffer. But it works great so far.

I am a general contractor and I have purchased many of these through our local supplier for projects we have been working on in the past. This seems to be the exact same quality and made the same way as all the others I have used. This is a high temperature roof boot that I plan to install on a low tolerance chimney on a building I am building at our hunting camp come spring. I will not be able to speak on longevity of the product until it has been up a while but comparing to others I have I do not see any issues and would definitely recommend.

I didn’t know these existed, at first but when I read about them, they are great!

Used this for a 10 inch OD, 6 inch ID wood stove chimney through a 'Duraclad' metal roof, with fairly high ridges (@ 1"). Naturally the chimney opening just had to fall bang on one of the raised roofing ridges, but this flashing went over it better than I'd hoped. The flexible strip on it is very pliable, yet takes a roofing screw no problem. Laid high-quality silicion very generously under the flashing edge and then added even more around the entire perimeter. I'd recommend 'squeezing' the flashing perimeter tight to both sides of the roofing ridge hump in order to leave the smallest possible gap on each side of it before screwing it down, if that makes sense.Siliconed the chimney-to-flashing circumference as well but the fit is so tight I don't think it was really needed. We've had several torrential rains since the install (1 inch plus) and not a drop has leaked through. Would rather it wasn't orange with our blue roof, but that's a pretty minor point.

I built my own sauna and needed to seal the section of roofing where the wood fired chimney came through the roof and I used this Benfar 1 Pack #7 High Temp Roof Pipe Boot for Pipe OD 6" to 11" Flexible Silicone Roof Flashing to do that. I bought an expensive chimney pipe and needed to sleeve this over it. At first I used too small of a hole when I chopped out the size of the silicone boot and had a slight cut in one side, and when I was sliding it over the chimney it started to rip. Thankfully I stopped and pulled it off and cut out another size larger and was careful not to make any vertical cuts in the material before sliding it over again. The silicone does stretch well and does create a water tight seal. Since my roof was a flat metal, this silicone boot was able to be screwed down without much issue after using some silicone where it met the roofing material. Overall I'm happy with the construction of the boot and how it seals my chimney, and I would recommend this to others who are using a similar wood stove like I'm using. 5 stars!
