I have not been able to catch him in the act but he loves being in there! I just seem to see him after he gets out . Was easy to put together and place on cage. For me it’s totally worth the expense and easy to clean. Stays on the cage and I can move it around.

It's incredibly easy to assemble and fits perfectly on the bars of an S1 Vision cage but will break on the bars of an L size cage.

Nice color, pieces snap together with easy. Other reviews claim there isnt a hook for the bath, but there actually is. It isnt a metal hook, but a small plastic tab at the back of the bath where the pieces fit together. The tab fits over a single bar and snaps closed. This information is also clearly indicated on the box...not sure how others missed it. It does take up a lot of space in the small vision cage.

Perfectly adequate little bird bath for the price, but there's a little bit of "you get what you pay for" here. Side clips that hold the top and bottom shell together are not as snug/secure/birdie-proof as I'd like. The little clip on the back to secure to the cage bars? Generally feels a little flimsy, but I'll never get the chance to test it out, as it only works if the cage wire is very small gauge and the bird bath can be placed flush against the cage wires with no gap whatsoever. Probably works great in their own Vision cages, but can't be attached to mine. That said, it's an adequate bath for the price - shallow, pretty splash-proof, pretty easy to get in and out of. This is adequately sized for parakeets (budgies, Australian grass parakeets, etc.), maybe lovebirds at most. Anything bigger or with long tail feathers might not find it big enough or deep enough.

Literally scared my poor finches to death. I'm still not sure how badly they may be injured. As soon as I walked in the room with the blue ball, they went crazy. I should have thought to not install it based on that alone but I read how much scientific research went into the vision cages and accessories and thought maybe the finches were just spooked... After hanging the bath inside the cage, the birds went ballistic and have just about killed themselves trying to get out of the cage. They are litterally beating themselves to death in the bottom clear plastic base walls. I feel so bad about it but am now scared to even go in the room because my usually calm birds are now acting like wild birds and I don't want to cause any further disturbance that may cause them to start banging into the cage again, resulting in more injury. They are all huddled in the far bottom corner of the cage right now. The bath has been in there for an hour. The birds loved the bath in their old cage, it clipped on from the outside. This Vision cage, however, only seems to support the finch-terrifying blue bath of death. I would not recommend putting your birds through this and Vision should look into a resolution for the issue.

My little parakeet, who normally is afraid of NOTHING, refused to go into this birdbath. Don't ask me why - normally she wants to check out everything that is put in her cage as soon as I latch the door shut. I don't know if it's the color, the shape, or if she was afraid of not being able to get back out of the water again. Who knows what was going through her little birdie brain? I just know she didn't like it, so therefore I didn't like it. It looked like a great design and was easy to put on her cage and seemed to stay in place just fine. It just didn't work for her. I ended up putting another type of open birdbath in there, here's a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I6ORHS/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_22She immediately got into this birdbath and started splashing around and playing. So I don't think there was anything wrong with this birdbath, it's just that it didn't suit my particular bird.

This little bird bath is really great for my four society finches. It is large in comparison to their size, I think it would be perfect for parakeets, canaries, and other similar sized birds as well. I put the water in it and set it on the bottom of their cage and they love it. They all go and take a bath in it immediately. They can bathe and flutter around in it all they want and the water doesn't splash out , only a little water will splash out near the opening but I have natural corn cob bedding on the bottom of their cage so it just absorbs whatever water they splash out there. It is very roomy for them since they are very small birds. I have seen two of them in it at once and there is still room for them to splash around. You can also hang this bath on the side of the cage, there is a hook on the back side of it that will allow you to hook it on the wire side of the cage. I have not used it that way yet. I just put it on the bottom of their cage and let them play. I do recommend this bath.

I've raised birds for more than ten years. I consider myself pretty expert. For a number of years I haven't been able to buy the bird bath I'm accustomed to for my canaries and finches so I used a battered and broken one. The birds didn't care. After checking in every pet outlet in my area, I finally searched online. Of course I tried Amazon first. The excellent price on their Vision Bird Bath made me look closely. The attractive shape and color pleased me. I've always bathed my avian pets in a clear one, but I was ready to give something new a try. So for about $10, I got two and they came right away. They're a funky design. They fit together in a way that makes me think they'll break pretty soon, so I plan to glue the two sides together. But here's the thing. I may only glue one. The Lady Gouldian Finches obstinately refuse to bathe in theirs. I'm trying just the bottom for them to see if they'll come around. They suspect a trap. Maybe it's because it's blue. Gouldians are finicky. Canaries LOVE it. Very cool. I'd like to introduce you to a great book:
